So, I have been trying to figure out what these AMP wheels are, and from what I have gathered, is they WERE a knock-off company that went out of business and this kid must have got some overstock from somewhere. They were cheap shit to begin with, now they are just pathetic left over cheap shit.

Michael, if you've been a mechanic for 8 years and haven't gotten your certs, you're in the wrong business. But that kinda makes sense, after all you're 33 years old, "live your life a 1/4 mile at a time" and still put knock-off parts on your car claiming you're being sponsored by some sort of bad ass company and getting the best deals on the on amazing parts.

Do techs all around the world a favor and NEVER touch a car again, knowing you're part of this industry makes me want to quit as it is.

I would have figured the point would have been made by now. No one here is here to push you into buying certain parts. We're just trying to help you out. Even if you did get some parts for free, they aren't quality to begin with and you'll probably end up changing them later on with better ones once you realize it. Although some people do have some "fun" money most of us don't so the argument of "rich" people here is far from the truth. Heck it took me 5-6 years to have all the parts I needed to do what I wanted by buying here and there (used and new) when I could afford it. Try to grasp some wisdom from people here, don't look at the harshness or bluntness of the comments but try to get the big picture. I'm more than happy to show my car off to people because of all the blood sweat and tears that went into building/repairing it. I put only good parts but it took me longer than most because when you do something you have to do it right the first time.

All in all it's your car, but use a logical mind when you're dealing with this type of situation. Look at the prices quoted and reviews on the products. Quality means a lot in performance parts.

It's not bullying. We flat out told the guy that he should NOT do it and what does he do? Thats why he is taking crap. We forewarned him about the scam. Now since he didn't listen. We are going to see threads on why his car is broke. All he is doing is pointing all the new generation in the wrong direction. The threads will flood with issues if other people join up and if anyone ever buys the car, they will have to go through and rip out all the junk that I am sure will not be installed professionally and hope they don't run into a bigger mess.

Maybe some of it was ppl saying a little too much, but the grown man (33 years old) initiated this and kept egging it on by continuing to do this after what started out as friendly advice from grothe3297venge and clipto. That turned into him being offended, to retaliating, to him putting crap on his car that shouldn't be on there. Thus, grown man talk begins.

Can we tell a person what to do to his/her car? No. Being a member on this forum, and I speak for myself and not the entire community, means you should have a certain level of inteligence or the ability to realize what others are saying. At least understand it if not agree. All this guys see is that he is getting "free" stuff for his DSM, and I see it as the guy being a dumbass and disrespecting this community, as well as giving a bad representation of DSM's and DSM owners as a whole. By putting crap on this car, the ricer term will be applied because thats what a ricer is. Any part that will make the car look better regaurdless of quality or practicality. This is a performance community.I know I went through this because I was a little shit. Nowhere nearly as bad.
