A dd with a little kick..I like that..

Well, were getting off topic again..So to get back on topic..Maintenence, and the upgrade paths like this Tech Guide - DSMtuners

I myslef would reccomend, hard boost piping, exhaust, up the boost a few psi..But not all of us DD these cars..So thats just basic stuff that adds a little kick to the stock 200 hp..

Ok, I've heard guys say that 14psi is the max I want to push...other's have said 15-16psi, I guess your location on the globe would also have an effect on how much boost you could run as well...right?

Every car is diff and will all move diff airflow per rev and yes altitude will affect that.

Ok...so 14-15psi is the safe point for these cars, next question...how much hp do you gain per lb of boost?

That's an irrelevant question?
Who's the prettiest girl in the world? <------ a million answers from millions of diffrent people.

Every car is different and acts different to mods. 1 psi in a 16g to 1 psi in a t25 is different.

If you wan't more sound from a 16g, and dont really care about anything else other than sound, you need a side dump o2 housing. Or you can just develop a really bad exhaust leak between the o2 housing and downpipe.

My old car had issues with popping the downpipe loose because one of the studs in the o2 housing was stripped. Sounded like a diesel truck everytime it popped loose. So either that, or a external dump o2 housing.

Or an electric cutout.

Really a bunch of ways to make it produce more sound, most of them have to do with having less exhaust parts piping the sound out the back of the car, and/or through a muffler.

To answer your previous question, fuel cut is purely based on load and time. With ecuflash you can change these values, to either a higher value load, or a longer time.

Fuel cut is the engines ecu cutting the signal to the injectors instantly after the car exceeds the predetermined load value for "x" number of milliseconds.

So, my stock map had a my fuel cut values at 200 load for more than 1000 milliseconds (1 second). If I stayed above that load value of 200 for longer than one second, the engine would hit "fuel cut" and it will feel like I hit a brick wall. Cutting fuel to the engine is a safety feature because its better to lose all power than to run out of injector and melt your pistons. I'm not saying fuel cut is a good thing, I'm just saying its better than melting your pistons.

Load is primarily based on airflow, which is dependent on many different things. That's why your get the response "psi doesn't matter, 18psi on a t25 isn't the same as 18 psi on a holset."

So to answer your question about how high you can turn up the boost..., the stock system is matched well and has safety features built in to protect itself. If you reach these safety features, you can't get more without upgrading the fuel system and get a tune.

Like everyone has said and ill just hammer the point home. Bigger turbo, more boost.

I managed to suck a piece of rubber through my old 14b.. Compressor wheel didn't have a single unbent fin. Sounded like a supercharger though, LOL. It was pretty bad.

High flow intake, hard intercooler piping, bigger turbo, free flowing exhaust and a after market BOV. I know there are stupid intake mods that make sounds but its as queer as blowing richard simmons for one direction tickets. Make it loud but make it sound clean!
