im purchasing a srs cat back off ebay i was looking for advice on what down pipe to use with it. will it need a test pipe or a hight flow cat. basicaly what are u running and how well do they work together.

Im not sure about the srs. im running a thermal r&d cat back with a megan downpipe. i had modify my thermal r&d to mate up to the down pipe. make sure the diameter and flanges are the same where the catback and downpipe meet up

I've been looking into this as well. I have the SRS catback already, and I am looking for a downpipe too. I was hoping someone can chime in as to if the Megan Racing or Punishment downpipe both bolt up properly without having to cut, and re-weld the flanges.

i did do some searching but the people that make the down pipes dont say what exhaust it will mate up to. I was looking into advice of people who already have there set up done and what they used. thanks everyone for the imput so far keep it coming.

ok did a lot or reading and it looks like the megan down pipe fits perfect for FWD turbos but there seems to be alot of problems with gsx's. this all being mainly 2g's i was very few 1gs running this setup. we have a different set up. and speaking i have a 92 tsi awd who knows how things will fit up. any imput from the fellow 1g drivers running srs catback chime in.

Ok on my fwd the Megan cat delete bolts up perfect to my eBay catback. But on my buddy's gsx he had a thermal catback and I ordered him a cat delete off eBay. It is exactly like the Megan cat delete for a gsx. We had to cut about 2 inches if I remember correctly and reweld the pipe together with the section removed. After that it bolted to his thermal perfect. Both are also 2g.
