Hey guys, so I bought a 1999 eclipse spyder and the previous owner had put a 6 bolt 4g63 motor in it and basically hard wired everything. So like everything's stock except the motor and tranny. I was wondering if anyone knew where or how to get a wiring harness that would run from the stock computer to the rest of the car. It just looks like a cluster f*** under the hood.

Not exactly sure what you mean. Do you mean the wire harness that is in there is the turbo 6 bolt engine harness and the ecu is in the engine bay or you need to clean up the wire job? If its a 1g harness in a 2g is still should lay pretty clean inside there without any issues. Maybe a pic will help clear things up. Hope this helps even though I doubt it will.

I hate when people mess with the harness wiring. It can be pricey to fix stuff. Only thing you can do is trace everything and what not. 6 bolt in a 2g car is not exact swap. But good luck to ya.

hey I saw that car, I didn't like it much. Wiring harnesses are a PITA if the previous owner messed around too much with it. You gonna keep the bodykit?

It had the stock 2g motor in it and I guess when he swapped it to the 6 bolt 4g63 (which I think comes out of a 1g eclipse) he just hard wired it from the stock computer to the new stuff. Ill upload pics tomorrow in the light. But with the way he has it wired it makes me service engine light come on. So would it be easier to just pull everything out of a 1g and replace it with what I have?

No I'm taking the body kit off. I hate those things.

How much did you pay for it? I believe he had it for 4500? And good call taking the kit off haha.
