I think I noticed that it said you have a 1G intake on it... Manifold? If it is, I hope the head is either ported or it's a 6-Bolt head because those manifold runners are actually restrictive to that head. The runners are actually fatter than the head creating a barrier wall effect. Could help with the "richness" More Info Please...

Yea, its a 1g intake manifold, and the 7bolt head is port matched.

The only time she went rich was on the dyno, she tuned fine before that.

Her first pull was at normal 11.0 AFRs, and then she threw a CEL and we think she went into limp mode for the last 2 pulls.

Ok cool, thanks for clearing that up. Well I hope you find the answer. Boost Leak Test is where I always start! Especially after pushing a whole lotta boost a few times!

Suddenly going rich like that seems like a boost leak. If bad enough could also explain the cel. E85 would fix your knock situation with a quickness!

I wish e85 was available in my area, and I don't want to use meth.

Being I've tuned a few cars down your way.

I know there is E85 in your area last I checked 2-3 stations at least in Jacksonville....

Can't blame you for not wanting to run meth. But I'd get another look an see if there is some E85 closer then you think, It's well worth the trouble :)

Closest E85 is a ways away. I believe 2 hours ? somewhere in maccleny. No local Jacksonville pumps.

Well I tuned eclipseowner95 Car and he Runs E85 and is in that area... I know he gets quite a bit an stores it as the station is not on his normal route. But still there is some in the Area somewhere... . :)

I can travel for it like Kyle does, but I can't justify buying a whole new fuel setup to use it so randomly. Ill see the track about once a month.

If you Started running it (if you have/get the fuel system for it) I bet it wouldn't be at random and you would be running it more offten then you think :p

Anyway back on topic :)

I basically have the same setup except I have an evo III intake mani and I also have the same issue with no e85 in my area. Would race gas be a good alternative to using e85? I know its more expensive but I am trying to max out my setup without using meth.

Man pump gas sucks! Car looks good though. Keep at it you have a lot of nice parts there is a bunch more power left it.

I know this turbo would really come alive on e85, so I'm gonna pass it off to someone who could make better power with it....

I just picked out something bigger, LOL

externally gated 7 blade HX35?

I want to see how much power this will put down with her current set up like now.

Who's excited?! I'M EXCITED!!

Cant really try it on my "current" setup, because I'm right in the middle of a 6 bolt swap, but she will be dyno tuned on speed density soon :)

Few questions

Why did you choose HY over HX? My holset knowledge is rather lacking...
What hotside are you running? BEP Bolton or standard holset 12cm? Are you interested in the new ones coming out by FP?
Full 6 bolt swap? or 6 bolt block with 7 bolt head? are you building internals? Do you have a build list/log?

Thanks, you have a beautiful car

6 bolt block & 7 bolt head. No internals on the block, yet. Going with a 2.3 stroker later.

My mods profile is up-to-date.
