Watched the episode last night. Very much enjoyed it.

I was however VERY impressed that the car didn't have any issues and was reliable the whole time, especially after tanner driving it like he was.

x10000

All the "DSMs are unreliable" kiddies just got video proof of what a maintained modded car is capable of.

Admittedly, I was cringing during the desert bits. LOL

USA top gear is a dumbed down version of the best and original BBC top gear. Its actually insulting for that show to have the same name as the original Top gear. I have tried to sit through the xr4ti - alante- svx episode,, but those guys are not even the least bit entertaining, nor informed about the cars they mock and or trash. Its just stupid without funny or informative to fill in the vast expanse of bad acting.

Yeah!

Yeah, Top Gear UK is miles ahead of the other two (Top Gear US & Australia) but it isn't really that bad.

Clarkson, Hammond and May are one of a kind, you'll never get three people as entertaining together again.

I cant watch it either, even trying to top gears page doesn't work. Can anyone post a link to the video's page?

I think for some reason it doesn't work for us Canadians. History channel in Canada doesn't air Top Gear US.

Then don't watch it. I like the fact that I can enjoy both versions. I can think of much worse television shows to watch. At least this show is about cars, instead of honey booboo, yanno?

I couldnt watch it. I tried, because I used to have an xr4ti with turbo coupe ecu, intercooler, injectors....bla bla bla....Seeing that car on tv was going to be really cool. Those fake car enthusiasts wouldnt know a cool car if it bit them in the ass. Im curious to see how they mock and insult a dsm,, but I know I could not possibly sit through that crap. The stupidity would be unbearable.

Try a DNS to work around that.
If it works for the Chinese, I don't see why it wouldn't work for the Canadians.

I have no idea what a DNS is, you're talking to a computer dummy.

Google OpenDNS and go from there. Easy to use and easy to setup.
It'd likely also let you know if it can even accomplish what you're looking for (tricking those frost-backs from the great white north into thinking your DNS server is located in the USA).

None of you seem to pay attention very well. The DSM they trash has a sun roof, and the talon Tanner drives doesnt have a sunroof. Also different front and rear bumpers....

I am SO glad they swapped cars  I first saw the 1gb Eclipse rear bumper on it and then the sunroof hole sorta confirmed my observation :) Now I wonder if he kept it...?

So, let's recap:

1. You didn't watch the episode
2. You think Tanner Foust is a "fake car enthusiast"
3. You completely ignore BBCs terribad early seasons before Hamster, Jezza, and Slow finally got their groove working.

Did I miss anything, or would you at least like to watch the episode before bellyaching?

:)

I wonder about you AND that edit. LOL

I have no idea what a DNS is, you're talking to a computer dummy.

OpenDNS at a first glance seems to be some kind of internet filtering software, or third party that acts as a VPN.

DNS = Domain Name System. In short, its a computer which is used as a directory to translate dynamic names (such as "www.cnn.com") to an IP address (the computers internet address) so that your computer can then contact that computer. A quick example would be for me to look for "John Smith" (like a Domain name) and use the phone book to lookup "John Smith" to find his address, "123 Fake street Nowhere,USA 12345" (Of course this is assuming that everyone in the world had a unique name).

What you actually need is something called a proxy which will quickly, and easily allow you to visit a website anywhere on the internet, but from the host machine it would appear that you were visiting from wherever the proxy server is located.

A quick example would be this: John (lives in America), Sam (lives in Canada), and Steve (lives in America). Now Steve is a selfish person, and will only provide information and knowledge to people whom live in America. Sam wants to figure out the answer to an important question that he cant seem to figure out by himself, but he knows that if he had access to Steve, he would surely get the right answer. Sam sparks an idea, Sam calls John (his friend whom lives in America) and has John do a three-way call to Steve, Steve happily answers the phone (which the caller id says came from John, whom lives in AMERICA, #### YEAHH!!). After Steve answers, John stays quiet and lets Sam do the talking. Same asks his question and gets his answer. What Sam just did here was use John as a proxy to mask his originating phone number and appear as if he was in the USA through his friend Johns phone number, this allowed him access to Steve.

Obviously that was a long explanation but now you can at least understand what you need to do in order to achieve your goal.
