so i been waiting and holding off on fixing the gst spyder for a month now. my T-Belt snapped and the head was toast. broken and bent valves. so i went ahead and purchased..

Oem Head gasket from cherri hill
Oem Timing belt from cherri hill (cheaper than anywhere else i searched for oem)
Gates water pump
Gates tensioner

Still need to buy idler pullyand tensioner pulley and a few other parts.

i still cant fine a 2nd gen head. im waiting to see if i can find a rebuilt one or a semi built one. i want to go ahead and throw in some 272 cams.

i have dsm link v2.5
evo fuel pump
rc 550's
evo 3 16g
apexi n1 exhaust

any advice on where i should go with this?

check JNZtuning for prices, ask for paul when you call.

i second the machine shop work. ^^^ i knifed my runners and smoothed the flash casting as well and did a multi angle valve job, swirled valves, and gasket matched everything.

v3lite is available, dont waste your money on v2.5

evo fuel pump, a walbaro 255 is probably easier to come by and cheaper, plan on a Fuel Pressure Regulator. if you dont have one already. i would get the aeromotive A1 and do a fuel filter and line kit too. simplifies life in the long run.

dont waste your money on a ridiculously priced exhaust. buy what works or have someone make one. simple is better.

if you still have a balance shaft, replace that belt too and the tensioner OR remove it. use the OEM stubby shaft kit. i did.

i was planning on a walbro 255 along with afpr. my other question is will my pistons be fine. so far from what i was able to see is just one piston had damage. the rest looked fine. i wont completely know until the head is removed. planning on doing that sometime next week when i have time.

Post pics of the head and block when you tear down.

Check the market place tab above and check Supporting Vendor a rebuilt head.
