Sorry... Wrong car in the shop at the moment. This one just had the factory seats reupholstered :/
The one we made brackets for was in last week.. I even dug through a bah-gillion photobucket pictures to try and find a pic...only one I could find was of the seats in the car..none of the frame bracket.
I'll see if I can get a picture of it soon and post one here.. we've done about 6+ cars like this.. and got a phone call yesterday about a making a set for some good ol' boys pick up truck LOL

Honest question, do our seats lower?

Every 2G has independent front/rear cushion height adjustment. If you have power seats, you can raise/lower the front/back by hitting the forward half/rearward half of the switch, all respectively.

If you have manual seats, there should be two wheels on the side. The one in the front will raise/lower the front. The one in the rear will raise/lower the rear.

So:

  1. Get in car
  2. Adjust height as low as possible on the back
  3. Adjust front to comfort
  4. ???
  5. PROFIT!

:ohdamn: I...just...okay. Thanks, haven't had too much seat time in the 2g.

This thread has been answered already and truthfully serves no other purpose.

HOWEVER! Since we are on the subject my friend is 6'10 and managed to be able to drive his dad's 95 GS. His dad is also 7'2 but looks like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart, I honestly have no idea how he gets in. He may have modified the rails because he had to in his Beetle.

Which brings me to my next question. If we are talking about custom rails and welding them in then why would height come into play? Must have missed a post. My thoughts on the subject would just to be moving them back more. God forbid anyone try to sit back there though. I'm only 5'8 and nearly sit on the person behind me if anyone is stupid enough to try to get back there.

Some people are tall with short legs and a long torso, others are tall with long legs and a short torso. It's the first category when the seat height comes into play.

People still have their back seats in their cars? That sadistic to even offer someone a ride back there.

I'm 5'9 and fit just fine into my 1G and 2G. :)

Anyone have recommendations for seat upgrades for the 1G? Don't need racing seats but a bit of lumbar wouldn't be horrible. I've sat in the Recaros in current Ralliarts and find my shoulders don't fit properly. The 4G swap sounds interesting! I know those were great seats.
