needs harder launch...thats where all of the time and power of the car is being wasted at. you also need to get it to that record setting 1348whp (or was it 1248whp) dyno you had years ago.. run that power, launch it hard...don't see why you woudn't be in the 8s.

It's funny how you post in this thread more than the guy whose car it is. Do you know how hard it is to run 8's? No, you don't cause your car runs 15s. You can't just throw money at a car and it will run 8's. Plenty of people have tried. I don't care what you think about this guys attitude his car is badass and that deserves respect.
 
Guys, guys, guys, its obvious all Nelson has to do is hire this kid to setup the suspension and chassis then he can just go turn the wick up and set records. Everyone is talking like its hard to get a 1000+ hp car out of the hole but all it really.needs is the guy cutting 2.whatever 60 foots in a 100whptwo car to set it up! It all makes sense now!!

i can almost garentee i have the smallest amount of hp here, yet i can also garentee that i watch and learn from others so when i have more a budget, i can do more with expirence. ppl like me who havent personally built fast cars and just enjoy looking at them and wishing that they drove one, they should keep their mouths shut ### hands on expirence is everything. i garentee everyone who has built or atempted a build of a fast car, respects nelsons build

Don't get me wrong, great car. shit ton of power I think 2nd most powerful 3/s was some Russian GTO with 1100whp, Fastest cars I have been around/had a good hand in building and maintaining was definitely my friend Matts Talon.

Can't say I disagree...tho I am still a DSM head, and I do alot more listening then I do actual posting these days.

Working on DSM's is still a regular occurrence for me, Tho I've been leaning towards v8's lately.

4g63 is the only 4 cyl I have patience for anymore just because it is my roots, and its still the worlds fastest 4 cyl. Also the community is decent.. ever spent 10 mins on honda tech? gawwddd
 
He made the extra power to the wheels when he was running a manual transmission. The car is now an automatic, so it puts less power to the ground. That should be blatantly obvious and also answers your second question if you knew anything about setting up an auto trans for racing.
 
Why doesn't he launch harder? Oh IDK, maybe because the chassis/suspension isn't completely dialed in? Maybe because its pointless to turn the wick up when it hasnt left/ran how he wanted it to with less power? Mayne the converter isn't ideal for the setup and hes trying to work through it.

But I'm sure you know nothing of these problems. Tell me again how hard it is to dial in a 200whp car? The answers for your questions are all over the internet, they're basically the same for all 4 digit HP cars. Do some research.
 
I think the issue here, is that we are trying to explain this to someone that is not aware nor accepting of just how much there is to this that they don't know.

Which is an enormous challenge.
