Ok so I use Chemical guys products for my car and I keep seeing this stuff on Tv called WIPE NEW and its suppose to make your outside trim last black for a long time.Has anybody used this lately? and is it worth buying? Let me know:hellyeah:

I have not used it, but it seems like its just a temporary fix type of thing. Looks to be very similar to silicone/wax detailing products that give the finish a wet look to keep it shiney.

I have seen that stuff also. I wonder if its worth a crap usually if it looks like its to good to be true then its going to be temporary and end up back the way it was.

Sounds a lot like Mother's Back to Black.

This stuff works well, and there are plenty of YouTube videos showing it working. I also hear that peanut butter works good for black trim.

Edit: It is a temporary solution, but when applied every six weeks or so it helps the trim look nearly new again. Really, the only permanent fix would be to buy new trim.

It seems that Wipe New is a do-it-all kind of thing that can be used on trim, interior, tires, and headlights. There are several YouTube videos detailing the product and how well it works.

I think it's worth the investment honestly I don't know about PB though LOL

watch the videos for wipe new, they guy just wipes it on and sais there u go looks brand new... same as if u used a wet rag, wants the stuff dries its back to the old they dont show you an after time look in reality so u dunno if ittl fog or eat it away so imo not worth trying ### its not recommended for any use if u look it up LOL

Huh?WTF

Its cheap, i think itd work just fine. Go for it and let us know how it works for ya. You have been nominated "guinea pig" ,go forth!

I did research on many reviews of this magical "Wipe New". So many reviews on numerous sites claimed it was such a rip off. For example, your supposed to get a "large" size bottle upgrade for "free", but the bottle is only filled half way, and their "service department" is nearly (if not entirely) impossible to get in touch with. Even if you try to ask for a refund, you don't get the shipping/handling fee back, which is nearly half of the price of the product. The package comes with a half filled bottle, one (yes ONE) latex-like glove, an "applicator cloth" that might as well be a grease rag, and a tiny thing that is just a half of a Q-Tip. I was curious myself when I kept seeing the commercials and stuff, but that's exactly what they're designed to do... My advice is to keep your money and invest it into a product worth buying with a good reputation. Good luck with your decision!

I've never used it myself but seeing as this is not a popular product, I'd go with eSCAPEist 's advice.

This reminds me of "NuFinish" that was big in the late nineties, I was in high-school and bought it hook-line & sinker. My hood went from faded to shiny...and back to faded in about a day. The clearcoat was also gone so the product pulled off paint every time it was applied.

Don't believe these miracle re-finishing products - as someone stated earlier, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Another big one is the headlight restoration kits that claim they're one or two steps...yeah, don't buy that

whats wrong with black marker pen haha

im not at the stage of using any of these products yet but my mate used pen on his car and it seemed to work quite well for him
