Like whats your budget for your first car? How much can you/are you going to spend.

I think he meant that the cost of ownership is probably beyond someone trying to get their first car.

Well unless you were on the show "my sweet 16", in that case you should just buy Mitsubishi and own all of the things.

Yes, I'm just taking a wild guess but my thoughts are that he cannot afford to drive around an Evo VII.

My vote goes towards a 2g either GST or X depending on your goals. This is based on your previous posts where you said you want to build something. Normally I would say buy a 420a powered 2g but I would never encourage anyone to build one of those. I own one as a daily and my do I love it but I would have to be crazy to modify the thing*.

* Unless I had a lot of money to blow and the car had immense sentimental value... eh.

You never know. Darien is a town with people that are very well off and will buy their kids expensive cars. For example: One of my good friends from darien, his first car was a e46 BMW M3, later on he sold that and got a 94 Supra turbo, then they dumped a ton of money into it. It was sickening, i remember being at his house (big thing) and he asked his dad if he could use his credit card to buy a T88 turbo kit (with all the parts for the single conversion) and he just handed him the car, shit was like $5k. On top of that, at my high school (Naperville, which is a hop and a jump from Darien) we had one kid drive his dads 01 Viper to school for one summer. It was really kind of disgusting to see.

Some kids... Many kids like that end up relying on their parents forever. After getting used to that lifestyle, they must always rely on mom and dad in order to maintain their status.

That's why I still recommended a 1g dsm, I only said EVO's had bigger back seats, and a 7 would be the cheapest to find/afford.

Haha yeah, my dad's a mechanic he knows a lot about cars/trucks, hes been a mechanic his whole life, and that's where i am going. My budget would be around 1000-2000 bucks, but i know you can't realy find a nice dsm with that kind of money, i've actually recently saw few dsms on my local craigslist for around 1.5k, with not that many miles.

I am like the only one who is interested in Mitsubishi's, ### my dad and my uncle are both insane about bmw's. My dad drives a 1987 bmw 635 csi l6, and my uncle had a e39 m5 for 8 years, then sold it this year and got a 2010 m3, 3.5 liter, twin turbo. That thing flies on the highway haha

My dream is to get an evo 3 haha.

Good news is you have a garage near you and tools, and they are Metric. :D Well, research your tail off, and figure out what you want to do with the car and your goals for it. That'll help you get an idea of which to get, what to do, and how to do it.

THanks man, surely will do :)
