Whats getting done to the motor? And 2000lb race weight is gonna b tough. But good luck, cant wait to c the progress. :hellyeah:
The motor is being built with GRP aluminum rods, wiseco hd pistons, coolant passages will be filled, all ARP hardware.

I will be installing a tubular rear subframe, chromoly front end and some other things to help get the weight down. I'm not participating in any class that limits my weight so I'm taking every piece of metal out that doesn't serve a major purpose. So far I've filled up the bed of my buddies F150 4 times with stuff I've taken out.

I wish I didn't want to still drive mine on the street :( Good luck in for updates :)

My old car!!!!! You already keep me posted, but I'm subscribing anyways. I seriously could not have asked for a better person to buy this car. This was my first DSM and it was the whole reason I got into them. Seeing someone who isn't just junking it, letting it sit in the backyard, or putting a bunch of ricer crap on it makes me soooo happy! Thanks for always sending me pictures of the progress and I can't wait to see it run this summer!

No problem! I will make you proud!

Are you the one with the white evo with the turbo in the grill??
I used to have a white evo with a FF setup, I sold it though.

The floor is now complete besides some carbon covers that will go where the gas tank was and spare tire. This is 3M bedliner with 2 coats of clear. This stuff is great because it hides all the imperfections in the floor and the seam glue that was left over:

Got all the templates made for the lexan windows:

I will be saving these templates to make a whole kit for the 2g's in the near future.

I love what you are doing. I'm mind boggled by seeing someone do the exact thing that I am doing, the differences are minute but I started 6 months ago. I'm definitely subscribing because your goal is also my goal. I post my build on facebook because Its easier to post pictures.

If you are doing a full wire delete & tuck we can get together so we can exchange knowledge on it. I have done the engine bay so far and doing the dash/cabin harness. so far I have removed 2 big trash bags of wires. Main difference between us Is mine will be street legal so all I need to keep is lights, flashers and horn.

LOVEEEE the paint
Looks awesome!
