I drive a dodge stealth.. everything on that car is rare LOL

Not really....Unless you have a 96 R/T Turbo; then it is rare. The 91-94's were fairly accessible; the 96's were very hard to find and had extremely low production numbers. (See illustration below)

As for international DSM (all trims/models/manufacturers) production numbers:

Year Units
1988 2,409
1989 90,741
1990 148,379
1991 153,936
1992 139,783
1993 136,035
1994 169,829
1995 218,161
1996 192,961
1997 189,086
1998 157,139
1999 161,844

Total 1,760,303 produced

These are fairly accurate, and I can tell you one thing....NOTHING IS THAT RARE ON OUR CARS IN OEM PARTS. If there was less than 100 of something, then I would call it extremely rare, less than 500 - rare, less than 1000 - hard-to-find.

Oh I am aware of the numbers.. but how many Stealth's do you actually see driving around? I rarely see a 3si brother when driving around.. when I go to any meet, I'm usually the only Stealth and most times the only 3si.

not completely sure on rare with my car. 91 TALON awd out of a field for four hundred bucks. completly rebuilt he couldnt get it started so he parked it. I put a cam angle sensor on it and it fired up. Mine doesnt have a sun roof and it has the tan cloth and leather on black interior. Also a oem stock cassette and cd player still working.
and a ninety awd laser with red cloth interior with black trim. rare ? honestly I don't know.

So, Mr. Serious Racer (saw that thread the other day, laffed.)

Wouldn't factory slate blue interior count?

I would have to put the slate blue up there as a fairly rare color, I think I have only seen a handful in the last decade. Is this on a blue exterior car too?

Just picked up a convertible boot for my 98 Spyder GST, took me 2 years to find one for a reasonable price that doesn't belong on a 3g.

2g talon April 94 build date AWD no sunroof, cloth interior, large pocket doors, and rear vented rotors, 70k original miles ZERO rust has clearcoat failure though..

My 92 Talon Tsi has a 6 bolt and 4 bolt rear and is 100% stock. I'm pretty sure it's kinda rare LOL

How about the valet key, key code tag, and dealer key box id tag?

Bought my 98 GSX new :)

Hal, I still have mine too! I finally broke down this year and cut a fresh key to replace my original key, but still have the valet key, tags, dealer info tag and original keys. My original key was pretty worn down and was ready for a replacement.

Wow! What an old thread! I guess I'll play ball...

I have a '99 2G GSX with all available factory options. Yes that means I have the all black leather interior, LSD, rear cargo net, white colored speed/tachometer, H8 ECU, 10 CD changer, and even that annoying cargo cover for the hatch. All original factory stickers are still in place, too.

All four mudflaps still intact!! I've never seen a DSM period with ALL FOUR! only 94K miles on it as well.

How do you guys put pictures in a thread? I can show you all what my GSX looks like.

Black on black is fricken sweet along with LSD. But white gauges is standard for all 99 Eclipse's. 10 disk changer is also pretty common. I also have all four factory mud flaps on my Eclipse. I'm even collecting a set for my Talon, I have 2 so far! Now rare mud flaps would be the legit 2gb Talon rubber mud flaps. So rare I can't even find a picture! LOL

To post a pic, click "go advanced" instead of "post quick reply". Down the page a bit should be the "attach files" box. Either that or upload into Photobucket and copy/paste the last link to imbed the picture into the post.

<- 2GB Talon Spyder, AWD, Convertible boot and 2GB Talon fogs. :rocks:

That's not rare, that's modified! LOL I guess it does count as rare though...

Speaking of rare, this summer I came soooo close to selling my 2g for a 1g. This thing was Purple outside, porno red inside, 92.5 6/4 combo with Autmoatic transmission. Talk about a gem!

I wonder if anyone has ever seen those special edition leather seats with "GSX" embroidered on the headrest? That has got to be rare!

Does even owning a GSX count as rare? I think I'm the only one in the whole state with one. I have yet to see another. I only see non-turbos and NT spyders around. I've only seen one non turbo OZ Rally edition, too.

Rare on the road. Rare compared to the massive amount of Subaru's and Mazda 3's that are selling like hot cakes. Rare in the DSM world? Eh. Not as rare as the 2g TSi AWD or AWD Lasers. On this thread page alone I count 11 Eclipses and 4 Talon's. They're getting pretty rare, especially with all the Eclipse swaps.

Got this 2g cluster with 251 original kilometers( had this for many years from a wrecked car)
brand new 1g t/b still in the box.

 No such thing from the factory. You either have a 4g37 or someone swapped a 4g64 head onto your 4g63.

There was a 8 valves SOHC version, came on trucks such as L200, Mighty Max and Dodge RAM 50 as well as on early Galants up to 93. A 16 valves SOHC version of the 4G63 was used for European market Galant and Spacewagon.

On I side note two full sets of 1g eclipse mudflaps are stored somewhere in my garage complete with the original brackets, I guess that makes them not so rare after all.

I totally missed that he owned a Galant. LOL

That would have been interesting.
