Im coming into some money in the next week or so and im on the look out for a good daily driver. Ill be selling my 90 Awd to suppport my build on my 91 Awd i just picked up. Ive got roughly $6k to spend. Im just curious what everone dailys on this forum. Suggestions and warnings are welcome!

This car.

<--------- 98 Talon with 200264 miles on the clock and lots of TLC.

i have a 5spd 97 mazda 626 with the 4cylinder - it's boring but a great dd. Then i also have a 07 honda ruckus which is also often my DD.

I guess my Spyder GS is technically my daily. It's my wife's, but were both full time students so I drive it the most. Extremely reliable, gorgeous, and has some zip to it. Bought for 3k with 90k miles.

I still drive a Tenth Anniversary Edition Accord that I picked up for $100 about 7 years ago. It runs and drives great, and I've replaced at least every wear item on it at least once. It had a nice paint job when I got it, and it's a total rust bucket now, but the inside is still clean, and the heat will cook a frozen turkey in half an hour, and then the A/C will freeze it again, so it was a good buy.

Steal...if it ran for a month then you got your $100 worth LOL

My 95 gst. Bought it for 520$ with a hole in the block and a spare good block. towing it cost about 230$. Sat for a few months till i wrecked my car. Then it got my 650 mile rebuilt engine. I spent roughly 1200$ in parts and 449$ in machine work in the engine.

Been driving ever since. Its been through 4 busted t25s and stripped timing belt. The valves actually hit the pistons but didn't bend. Engine has 22k and still strong. Taken multiple long trips with it with no problems. But i have to spend 185$ to fix my alignment.

98 spyder gs will be my dd soon and this car will become my project till i can get a hard top gst. Paid 1000$ for the spyder.

trucks make horrible daily drivers but my 08 z71 helps when a car breaks down. I would honestly tell you to get a 420a eclipse. I hate saying it but they do decent millage and every one I have seen just kept running even after blown rings and horrible compression test. they are pretty cheap to come across to.

I dd my Evo, but after six years and 100k miles with it I am starting to look for something more comfortable to DD.

V1 cts-v, 335, and genesis sedan are all weighing on my mind

My 3000GT VR-4 is my "slow" car so that's what I DD. LOL

Ive already thought about getting.one too. Ive heard they'll carry on forever with proper maintenance.

Or look for a 1g 1.8L. Might as well be dsm's honda motor. Damn near indestructable. Get great gas mileage, super easy to work with, and just plain reliable. Don't have much power but enough to get by with. My first car was a 1.8 and then i had another that I drove till I sold it to my buddy who still drives it. Has like 210-220k on it now. I know another guy with one in town who has 270k on his. Nice thing is they're usually cheap as hell. Paid $700 for mine and it more than payed for itself. Honestly amazed it never gave me any real problems with how much I abused it:

I got myself a 2012 Honda Accord couple EX as my DD to school and the 1G DSM to work. So far it has about 3,000 miles on it. MPG range from 20-25mpg.

1993 Mustang 5.0 Coupe that runs 11.80's on motor is my current daily. I guess I can pick up groceries quickly ;)

I love my truck and i wouldn't trade it for the world, but i did recently pick up a bone stock 97 GSX Auto that needs an engine for a part time daily. Hopefully by spring i will have it assembled and running pretty good.

I DD my GSX when ever shes running. minus heavy rain/snow, but thats only for paranoia that water/snow will get into the forward facing turbo..

that or my 2004 Trailblazer. got a good deal due to working for Manheim Auto Auctions

18 average mpg so im happy
