So my car has been running like crap when i have been cruising around and today i hooked up dsmlink to see what was going on, and my throttle percentage was reading 100% however my tps was reading the correct voltage. My idle wasnt sticking high and my wideband was reading rich. What sensor would read the percentage of the tps, even when the tps itself is reading good. Maybe an idle switch?

Id be willing to guess that your dsm link reads off of base. In other words it is like an afc. Logger reads correctly and link prob does not. Autozone can test your tps if you find a competent employee. Maybe the heat ofter the engine heats up causes off kilter readings. Id change it. The part is cheap and readings are prob correct.

Everything else is looking fine, and i don't think it is the tps because the voltage is right on. Last night i went ahead and test my idle switch, and i believe that had something to do with the problem. Throttle closed, it was still seeing battery voltage at the terminal, which it shouldn't. So i adjusted it down some and it seemed to work. Im leaving right now to take the car for a drive, so we will see if it acts up again.

Oh yeah and dsmlink did throw the code 0014 which is a throttle circuit malfunction. However it hasnt came back.

right now im chasing a dead tps issue as well. Dsmlink shows a code 14 and there is no voltage reading or tps percentage reading. I have not tested for power and ground on the wires yet but should be able to when i get home. Some food for thought though... When looking up diagrams the ecu has 2 ground pins for the green/ black wirfe that give ground for the mas, coolant temp sensor, and tps. SO if all three are funky suspect a ground wire issue.

update= Found out i have a broken wire from the dark green/greenwire from the ecu to the 4 pin connector for the tps. Ran a jumper wire and now everything is fine

Not too sure how old this thread is.. forgot to look. But Im haviing some tps problems myself. My tp is at 38% when off the throttle. Tried to adj the tps. and the farthest range i could get was 2.22-2.35 volts. I know its supposed to read .63. Why would it be so far off? Every post I find just has a damnn key word and doesnt answer my question
