So if u want to look at the mods list in my profile it will be more fine tuned, but all in all i have a fresh rebuild with NPR pistons and Kings Race bearings, ARP headstuds, 20G, FMIC, HKS SSQV, lightweight crank pulley, 3" exhaust, and Lightweight flywheel as far as engine mods go. When my ECM link comes in, first thing i'm doing is slapping on my evo 560 injectors and takin her to the shop for a tune. So my question is, will EVO 560's and stock fuel pump hold 20PSI?? I want to have it tuned for 20, so just wondering if i will need a 255lph. And if i do whats a decently priced AFPR. And will the 560's be enough??? Just dont wanna get down there, spend $500 and not be able to get what i want out of it. Thanks!

You will need a fuel pump for sure. Look on the classifieds and get a fuel lab/aeromotive off the classifieds. I paid $100 for my full fuel lab mini with the line and everything.

The 560's I believe are too small for a 20g at 20psi if I remember, but not 100% on that.

I am running 560s with a 255walbro and an SAFC on 20lbs making 310AWHP/304ft lbs.. Street tuned on 92 octane by English racing.. oh yeah and the car still has a Catalytic converter welded on the 3" downpipe(bought the car that way) haha ;) They told me the only thing holding me back from making more power was my SAFC and stock cams. And it really depends on how much power you want to make..

Hmm well I guess I'm ordering my fuel pump tonight along with my AFPR. And i wanted to make around 350 at least. I was afraid the 560's wouldn't be enough. Well what size injectors would you recommend?? RC650'? 850's?? Also what size turbo are you pushing 20psi on??

I am using used evo 8 560's and had them cleaned and flow tested and came out to around 580ccs. And I am also using an ebay 20G :p I have an FP 68 HTA waiting to put on after this takes a crap on me.. 15k miles and still pulling strong on the ebay 20g :) And if you want to make at least 350whp get some 850s or bigger in my opinion so later on down the road if you want to make some more power you have a little more fuel to play with..

The stock pump is not going to work max hp on it is in the 250hp mark. And 560cc injectors mite make it to about 350hp but I would not want to push them that far.

Alright so ill get some 850's, and a walbro 255. I gotta find a good AFPR as well. Gunna be ordering all this tonight so i have it ready to put in before the tune. If i can run more boost I would like to. Fresh rebuild with NPR pistons, kings race bearings, block bored .020, and ARP headstuds. Should hold 400 i would think but i don't want to get too greedy

I recommend getting the MK4 supra TT fuel pump if you wanna save some cash' but the walbro 255hp is still a good choice. I'm running one right now with my 20G setup.

With a good tune that rebuilt 7 bolt should hold 400 ft/lbs of torque for a good while, as long as you don't constantly beat the snot out of it.

Yea i figure its $80 for the pump and 20 for the wire kit, not bad at all. still looking for AFPR though

I don't NEED to make 400whp to be happy. More so just wondering if the car ends up making 365-380ish, i should still have some room and I'm somewhat in a "safe" power zone. So that's good to know thanks! Honestly ill be happy if it puts down 350 on my stock cams. DKS 272's come after christmas =D

Fuel Lab and Aeromotive both make good quality AFPRs. Buschur racing also sells an AFPR kit with pretty much everything you need. As does STMTuned.

I'm running a stock 1G N/T FPR and its still going strong.

You don't get rich spikes while cruising with that??? To be honest I'm going off of what I've researched on the subject about getting a AFPR with a walbro setup. In the past I've always built rotary's so when it comes to the little tweaks and setups with these cars, i'm a little behind.

Ill pick up and OEM 1g fpr then i guess. Especially once i get tuned on dsmlink, i'm sure it will be fine.

If your motor is built your fine, i daily drive my car and it's 100% stock motor.. with 135k with just bolt ons :)

short answer NO..you need at least a wally 255hp, and a set of 720's, 350 is pushign the limit of reliable injection of a set of 550/560'd especially since they are ued and although very minute amounts, they have still lost performance of the coil and flow along with that, if you get 550's you'll b just like i was (but i had a b16g at the time) you'll be kicking yourself in the ass and looking for honda owners to sell the 550's to so you can actually get the power you know you have available in your parts extracted and put to the tires

I say if your getting link go ahead and get at least 1200cc injectors, that way you only have to buy them once. I bought injectors 3 times now I started with evo 560s, went to 680s, and now have 1200s.

+1 to this. That's why I say get something around 1000cc. It'll be a while until you max those out.

Hell, go big or go home. 2150/2200's! That's what I did, because I'm sure if I don't use most of them up on the 1g, the GVR4 sure will!

IF I'm correct, the wally 255 will over run the stock FPR... A wally 190 on the other hand won't. but hey, why do it twice if you have the cash. Buy the 255 and AFPR. And like they're all saying, buy injectors once and then you don't have to worry about buying more later. Plus, from what I've read, it's best to run injectors at 80% or less IDC so just go big and not worry about it later :p

Yes that is the one. Only I paid $100 for that kit on here. It's used, it's in great condition though, and it works fine. For half the price, well worth it. They're plenty of AFPR's for sale in the classifieds, find someone with a full kit priced around $120-140 and throw them an offer of $100.

There's a good one.

This is a good thread... I'll be doing a bastard 20g myself. Already got 255lph, 1000cc, 272's yada yada..and most likely going with the corn oil e85 :). My goal is to break 400hp Aswell. Good luck on your build, and keep us updated.

Bah!! I cant look at it yet I'm still probationary member

That's because that ad link posted by Tyeler18 is gone, not because you're a probationary member. Everyone can view the classifieds section.

You'll need bigger injectors to hit that goal on E85. See the injector size calculator here.
