Guys, during the past couple of years the price of most DSM models has dropped, dramatically. Obviously the demand isn't that high anymore, but also some owners aren't taking good care of their cars and then selling them quick and for cheap. Here is the problem, if the car that they were trying to sell wasn't beaten into the ground and hacked up, the seller wouldn't want to take such a huge loss.

These cars are awesome. Lets start taking care of them otherwise it will be forgotten like some classics out there.

I'm in the same boat. If I learned anything from my elders is hang on to something for a long ass time.

Think about, if you would of told my grandpa back in the 60's certain camaros or any antique car would sell for millions he would of called you a dumbass.

Hondas will never reach that 50 years from now because there's so many of them, buuut there is a slim unknown possibility that dsm's maybe worth something like that! Maybe not millions, but you may just see there value go up as the generations go on.

I don't think this is a case of owners neglecting their DSMs bring down the value. NT DSMs just wont have value anyways so you can't count those, but for the age of these cars I'm impressed by the condition I see of most collectible DSMs. You also have to think about demand, Hondas of the period were always more in demand than these cars, and as they get older they'll naturally hold their value better. You also got to think about things like the fact that most older tuner Hondas can go through engine after engine swap/conversion whatever with cookie-cutter B series and what not. Also, think about what late model tuner vehicles that have come down in price and are now super affordable, If you could buy an S2000 or 350Z the slice of the tuner pie that the DSM shares gets smaller and smaller. Frankly, I was surprised at the value of these cars, I recently check the blue book on my GST and the value has only gone down a couple of thousand dollars since I bought it years ago.

Only a handful of DSMers keep their cars unmolested. Most cars I see for sale are hacked up, rusted out, and require a lot of time and effort to get them to run/look fresh.

Seriously. Lol. Everyone on here definitely takes care of their DSM's. Post that somewhere else haha.

Lol. Idk about that. I know a few dsmers on this site from my area and just beat on them and don't really care if they blow or not.

That's because DSM's are usually owned by kids. Simple as that.
