I'm confused, on the evoscan website it mentions evoscan can be used to pick up the codes yet after that it shows you the volt-meter method, is there a way to use evoscan to log any codes?

This is a 95 M/T eprom ECU if that matters

thanks alot, totally overlooked! thread resolved! :thumb:

I see the DTC area in EvoScan, but I can't get it to work. I can log just fine, but when I want to check the DTC's (my check engine light is on), it ends up saying "No Response from ECU". There was an EvoScan update I just did and it still wont work. Any ideas? Does it need to be using a different driver? I don't see why it would.

if it says no response you may have a bad cable, pin or a bad driver file.

I use windows vista 64 bit. I can do everything fine, Its good practice to use the same usb socket every time to avoid issues.

I can log and flash tunes without an issue. If I go to Auto Zone, their reader works fine. Is there another utility that can get codes?

After EvoScan 2.7 It's very temperamental to Read/Clear DTC's... .

I've noticed it you connect the Flash cable you are using and open EvoScan and read them asap it works most the time.

Personally I just use a ELM 327 Bluetooth Scan tool with Torque on my Android if I need Pull or Clear codes plus it will tell you if the Readiness monitors are set and it works for about anything :)

(Mine came with a Bluetooth dongle that allows you to connect to the scan tool via Bluetooth to my PC ^)

Awesome, I installed 2.7 on another laptop and it worked just fine! Thanks.
