Ok so here is the deal I bought a full v2.5 ecm link setup from A guy that i know and put it in my 1990 tsi. My car is nearly all stock and his was not I have set everything back to zero just as it should be and now the car will fire for a little bit then stop. I cant actually get it running long enough to get a log. Global is set to 0 along with deadtime. My car was running great before I put this in everything was correct. I am thinking there are still more things that he adjusted that i do not know about so I want to set it back to a full base tune or find some way to get my car to run. Any help would be much appreaciated.

Hmm, perhaps set your rev limit higher...it's currently at zero. I'm not sure if zero disables it or not. Try something like 7000 rpm.

Just did that it did not work...

Well, other than the rev limit, your settings look okay to me. So, the only thing you did was swap ECU's? I'd say something is wrong with either the ECU itself (maybe the chip is loose?) or the harness is not inserted completely...that's what I would look into next.

What year DSM did the ECU come out of?

1990 dsm same as mine. The ecu was just rebuilt by ecm link. I guess I will pull it back out and see what triple check everything.

I just went out and verified that setting the rev limit to zero will not allow the car to start. Are you absolutely certain that you copied the changes to the ECU after setting a higher rev limit?

i got it working it was the rev limit well that and the third connect to the ecu having a bad connection
