So Ive been searching around for a few days looking for a post similar to my problem and have come up with nothing.

I have a 90 awd talon, I recently just did a head swap, cams, gears, bigger inj, fpr, and timing belt components.

I was having issues getting it to run again, after re timing it, and checking link, I found a dtc for a coolant temp sensor.

I replaced the sensor and still no start and still a code. I cut back the harness wiring to the drivers side of the intake and rewired from the sensor to the side of the intake. Now I'm talking about the 2 pronged sensor not the top one. The guy that was helping me said the top sensor doesn't really matter and will run without it.

So after rewiring that far. plugged everything back in and bam car fires up on the first crank just like it used to. I actually started it up about 5 separate times in the next 2 days just to hear it LOL

I proceed with tapping up the wiring and tucking it back down where it goes, then went on to boost leak testing before we tune, I knew i had bad ones.., when I got the best blt i could do I decided to fire it up before i put the bumper and all that back on, Id go ahead and make sure i didn't knock anything loose and start it.... NO START

I go back to the bay and recheck everything with having the tb and a couple things off several times trying to make them seal good enough i found a few plugs and plugged them back in. Still no start

So where I'm at now,, I'm too electrical savvy and i have a simple test light that i put on each of the wires, and no light. when on the single yellow.. my light is on. I decided the best i could do is tear the harness down to the firewall and rewire from there.

So i find this (pic) someones been in the harness before and tapped wires together.

two wires come out of the harness one green w/ a black stripe, other green with red spots. the other two are both green w/a black stripe. One goes to a plug that goes back into the harness (second pic) For some reason they have all four tied together. Was wondering if any one knows which goes to which. its all very frustrating after it started a few days ago.

Id also like to know if the top pigtail on the water neck is needed. Ive always had it plugged in but recently i had one wire come out of the plug. It started fine like that before..

Thanks in advanced to everyone who comments back on this:thumb:

the plug to the right is where the other wire goes into. on the other side is just a single wire on the plug. which i find is odd
