Hey guys,

Just installed all my valves into my 2g head. (1995) 4g63t

Ive been doing camshaft research for a couple hours and am having trouble.

the pins on my camshafts (that go into the camgear) bent and broke off so I need new camshafts.

I am unable to find stock cams for sale ANYWHERE. This car is a daily driver so I need it to perform as such.

Can someone point me in the direction of what cams to get and where to get them?

You can find them in the classifieds....

stuff for sale - DSM Classifieds

Has a pair for $20

Now my question is why and how the cam alignment dowels broke.

Also, why did you have the valves out of the head? did they bend?

here is a pic
notice that the pin has shifted, it is also slightly bent.

and yes the intake valves were bent causing no compression. I have lapped and installed new intake and exhaust valves, seems like the are sealing very well. valves guides were also not damaged

the pin shifted and bent after removing the cam gear bolt (it was on there really tight)

What do you think about these? http://www.crower.com/camshafts/mitsubishi-dsm-4g63-turbo-eclipse-talon-camshaft-pair.html

If those are the cams you want, then they are fine. From the specs, they are not much over stock.

awesome, I'm going to order them now. thanks!

Make sure you torque the cam gear bolts to spec (cant recall off the top of my head but i think its 70+lbs). Under-torquing can damage or shear the dowels
