So I recently decided to get my carbon fiber hood looking nice and clean instead I that hazy yellow look it had, I wet sanded and then buffed it all out, everything looked really nice until I accidentally mixed wax and polish on the pad and started buffing more, basically after I did that it left a white swirl mark where I buffed with the wax and polish together. Anyone have a way of getting rid of this?

Yea I did but it didn't do anything

Yea ill get a pic hold on

All I can think of is to keep wetsanding. May have to use 1500 grit to get rid of the swirl, then use 2000 and buff out with some cutting compound, following with some polishing compound.

Get some wax and grease remover from an autobody supply store or similar, and clean the hood off with it, then wetsand and polish again. If you don't use the wax and grease remover you're just going to keep forcing the wax into the scratches as you sand and you'll never get rid of those marks.

Thanks for the help guys ill head over and get some supplies and hopefully get this out

I had this happen on my skylines rear spoiler all i did was take it to a polishers and get them to mop it over and i was amazedhow well it came up and it still looks good now after a few months, they have so many mops tuat can do cutting and stuff you will be surprised how it will turn out
