Well Vinny took out his auto 1g to Pbir down here in south Florida. It went pretty well for just some testing. He drove it 70 miles to the track and then the same back home with no issues as the car is a 3000lb street car.
Only made one pass cause the car was breaking up with old plugs it went 9.5@144 with a dbb 6266 on low boost. Once he gets more than 2 walbros he can crank it up. I personally think if he can take some weight out and run high boost it could go bottom 9/high 8@150+.

The setup is nothing too crazy
2.0 4g63
10:1 wiesco pistons
Groden AL rods
Stock 7 bolt head with kelford 272s
Jmf race intake manifold/s90 throttle body
SLS t3 manifold
Dbb precision 6266 turbo 33lbs
ASAP built auto transmission.
Kiggly mod for shifting with a "not your daddy's valve body" built by Vinny
Stock transfer case, axles, etc.
borrowed QTPs from the nicest guy in the world(me)
Borrowed dynatek arc2 from the nicest guy in the world(me again)

Expect big things to come from this car and mine as we are finally getting colder weather down here in south Florida.

TRC video coming soon

Nice to know he finally got the auto in.

Sprayed to get on the converter, less than a second.

Congrats guys. Not bad for a shakedown run. We too run a 3000 lb 1g auto street car that drives to the track. Ain't it fun watching the faces of the guys running the 12 sec slick cars that come in box trailers? LOL

We are looking for 9.3-9.5 with no nitrous on the car. Best of 9.76 @ 138 on a FP 3076 a few weeks ago. But, I think it's safe to say we are out of racing weather here in PA. Up to you guys to keep making the "racecars" look stupid.

No doubt you guys could hit 8s with the 6266 with more fuel, 40 psi, and no ignition breakup. Might take a little more of that spray though. :thumb:

Thanks for posting this up Richard! Well im excited to say the least i was hoping to do this on 35-36 lbs and it only took 33 with misfires.

I want to give a big thank you and shout out to Shane@ASAP for all the help on this journey and making the car work he built the tranny and motor as well.

Also for the help provided from kiggly and others and my friends support including Richard33333 (borrowing shit) and NOS4g63.

Im confident the car will go 9.40-9.50@145-146 without breaking up at 33psi and only time will tell what 38-40psi will do.

Hopefully i can afford a pump upgrade soon and see what the car is capable of. Nothing cooler to me personally then stacking tires in the hatch, do an hour + drive each way crack off a 9.5 without effort and driving back home! Hopefully video is done soon. The weather was in the high 60s i believe.

About needing more nitrous, i don't plan on spray down the whole track just the converter and im pretty happy with 1.44 on completely stock drivetrain im not sure how much more it can handle.

wish i had someone to borrow stuff from but i live in a dead zone part of florida... :|

1.37 is possible with stock axles, transfer case, rearend... on those same 26" QTP's ;) Don't know how many times it will do it and not break tho. The auto is soooo much easier on drivetrain parts.

We have another auto 1g running a 6266 jb. He uses nitrous for spool only as you do. Didn't get a clean pass this year... broken transfer case, converter bolts, nitrous solenoids, intercooler, etc. His car is a little lighter than yours, prob 2900 with driver. Pretty similar setup to yours. Hopefully you guys whoop more shit than you break. Git 'em.

That sucks for him, it comes with having a car at that level the issues. Well the 60ft is ok for me right now, if cutting a 1.43-1.44 will keep it alive a bit longer then trying to push for a 1.3x i rather it stay together

Cool, another Manual to Auto conversion, how the times have changed.

I wonder what the PTE62mm turbo E.T. record is, but this sounds like it will take it after you work everything out.

BTW, what torque converter is in there and any details on stall rpm with the Nitrous?

Thanks for the kind words , its a sinister 9" converter will go as high as you want on spray

Dave,

Thank you sir! you were a large help as well with the tranny situation. Really appreciate it and you always replied right away stand up guy!

Very impressive guys, when is the next trip out there?

Very nice run! I love that you still drive it to and from the track :)

My car really started breaking parts once I got into the low 1.4 60's... Another 3000lb+ on stock drivetrain.

Really looking forward to some more results!

What are the details on this S90 throttle body? Is it a Volvo S90 or the company S90 that makes/upgrades them? Awesome Runs too!

madddd props! . congrats on the pass . quick question i know the car made 750 as a manual. what does it make as an auto?

I don't think it's been on the dyno since the auto went it actually. I'm looking forward to seeing the car turned up. Should be pretty exciting.

Big congrats man! Now that's gotta be fun on the street

Is Shane doing the trans rebuilds himself these days? Smart move if so

nice run bro, this is not a drag car ether, still is a street car..defenity looking foward to seeing the car get deeper into the 9's and possibly braking the 8 second mark. :thumb:
