What about setups like kyb's with ground control coil overs?

Same thing, the struts will blow. They are designed to sit at stock height, coilover struts are designed to be slammed. Mind you, if you don't go too low with the GC sleeves you'll be fine for a couple years. 2" at the most, and even that is pushing it on used struts.

I got k-sports, love them so far.

I just did the DIY adjustable upper control arm on vfaq: 1G AWD Eclipse/Talon/Laser rear upper control arms modification

Also, since this pic I installed 25mm adapters in the rear.

you all have such nice rides... got nostalgic and you guys made me bring pix of my old 90 GST, KYB AGX's and Eibach Sportline 2" drop springs - rolling on 18" ADR vision wheels.
Long sold but never forgotten :)

Pretty much been summed up. Our suspension design doesn't have a lot of travel from the factory. So even with a set of intrax lowering springs, once the springs start to sag you'll sit on a even a cut down bump stop.

To get it low you've gotta spend over the $800 from what I've seen on pricing to get a true coilover setup. Plus it will have better adjustment and ride quality.

I personally run GC coilovers, kyb rears, and a custom 1" shorter front that RRE made with a Koni insert. Not as low as some of these cars but rides nice and gives me good feedback at the track.

Here's my car as she sits now. Currently it has Tein S-Tech springs and GR-2s but those are blown and are due to be replaced with AGXs in the spring.

How much drop did those springs give?

I believe it was a little over an inch. I didn't want that large of a drop and Eibach doesn't make the 1g pro kit anymore so Tein was the next best. But they are the priciest of the lowering spring options. It's also important to note that the car is full weight.

I'd love to see more angles of your car with these springs!

Megan Racing Coilovers.... Rode like shit... Handled great... Especially with all poly bushings and the RM rear swaybar.

Some clean cars in here!!
Not super low but it’s lowered on k sports. I have to still fit Hoosiers under it :):hellyeah:

I use the Ingalls kit to adjust the rear and the camber plates with the eccentrics on the front struts to get my alignment right on.

My profile pic :)

Car isn't too low...
dropped about 1.5" in the front an 1" in the back IIRC on some old Tien Springs & Kyb AGX's... Have one of the first Front cross members from Vasil with a front solid mount And All my Bushings and mounts have been replaced with Prothane & or Energy Suspension ones

Handles pretty Good :)

coilovers are supposed to ride like shit, if you go to soft you get body role and that completely null invoids the point of coilovers.

Now that's what you call a lowered car, perfect amount of low for a dsm.
