Don't do it! I've been offered a decent amount of instant cash money for mine, Turned down every offer without a second thought. You would be hard pressed to find a car as rare as this in the same price range. I still haven't seen a 2Gb Talon of any trim other then mine in town.
A lot of people mistake my car for an Eclipse because of my bumper and give me the face when I say it's a Talon, most of them never knew they made 2G Talons

Mine came with an Eclipse bumper and I hate it, Wish I could find a red Talon bumper.

Quick search in the gallery. If you like how that looks then go for it. Body lines do not seem right to me.

Yeah that doesn't look good at all, looks as if it has no soul. They sold it to the Eclipse devil. I know that sometimes an identity crisis carries over to the car, but damn that's just shameful.

FWIW, the Talon converted to an Eclipse will have a black roof unless painted. Here's my 2GA Talon parts car that I converted to a 2GB Eclipse body.

I'm all for saving the endangered Talon, but you purists are funny.

Ok for you guys flaming the High Rise on the Talon.
I plan to do the same look as my Bro Corey right there, except I will have a High Rise on it. It would look good with the Amber Area tinted Black with the Red Talon letters. I highly think it looks good if it is done right. For the record I have stock rims painted black.

So no I won't have those ugly tan brown greening looking rims that guy did to his Talon with the High Rise.... Barf....

Try taking the spoiler off and putting on eclipse sideskirts. Improves it 100x while still keeping the talon look

Youve all got good points and that blue talon does look damn good.. thing is im trading for the talon and the back bumper on the talons smashed hes got a replacment but it doesnt have the edge to it.. id like to maybe get the original bumper back and take that wing off the back. Then work from there. I dont like the way that talon with the high rise wing on the back look at all.. so i may just go wingless.. you guys are really into these things i can see. And i see why they are nice to work on and look sexy aswell. anyone got more pictures of talons they can post??

Why do you think I want to be their third twin! !!!! My Eclipse is all black, but I will be working on its body after I rebuild my transmission next month, put my water pump/timing belt on, and put in my Head gaskets!

The engine is the conversion right now before I start doing the Talon Conversion.

Next month is half off at the junkyard and I plan to go get the taillights, Rear ESi Bumper, Front 2GB Talon Bumper... hmmm all I think I need for now .... Also find a decent pair of clean Fenders.. mine are dented/have some dents and need to be changed. I mean it's not a big deal... but I wanna change them to look like I have a clean ass car...

Don't like the way he converted his Eclipse, but that is his choice so that's all that matters! talon:

I drove 930 miles to get my Talon. They are more then endangered because not only there have been very few made but people are just converting them to eclipses. Soon everybody's dsm will look like eclipse but I got both cars so I am good.

I was going to convert my talon because I personally think Talons look ugly. I ended up just selling it because it I didn't feel like spending thousands to convert it and then paint it.
If you really want to convert it then just do it. People always get flamed when they mention it because others act like a Talon is some mystical creature. You can just as easily convert an eclipse to a talon so I don't see why it's such a big deal.

Whoever owns this talon, could you tell me how you went about coloring your badges and front emblem? I've been wanting to do mine for awhile now, but haven't put much effort into finding a guide for it.

Not gonna read the entire thread but, OP if you want to convert, hmu. I want to convert my GSX to a Talon since its super rare to find a clean talon these days due to all the bs converts. I'll gladly trade you all parts.

Parts can be shipped via Greyhound. Parts would be Bumpers, tail lights, side skirts and wing. 97-98 Talons don't have Side skirts but they have the door trim that matches them to the bumpers.

To the idiots saying talons are ugly... seriously? What world do you live on? Your to say that flat body looks better than an aggressive body? All Generations Talons are much better looking due to the aggressive flare they put into the style.

I'm the type that says leave Talons, Talons. Leave Eclipse's, Eclipse's. Quit converting, if you want an Eclipse, buy a damn Eclipse. I would kill to find a clean Talon shell. Anyway thats my opinion, everyone has one. So don't boo hoo over what I say.

I've almost done this for a virgin 98 TSI AWD but couldn't get the funds in time. Love my GSX and wouldn't mind owning both. But would prefer a Talon. I agree with you, its to the point that you don't see them anymore because everyone converted. When you do find a talon, it looks like an eclipse.
