Broken CV axle bolt

So I was driving the car yesterday and heard a loud clanking noise pulled over and noticed the passenger CV axle bracket was just dangling got it towed home and noticed that one of the bolts broke off into the block the other looks like it backed out I guess the previous owner put the wrong bolts in. My ? Is their any tricks to getting the bolt out of the block without pulling it or is it OK to just run the one bolt ?

Passenger side? On my GSX the axle goes from tranny to hub. On the drivers side there is a carrier bearing for the intermediate shaft then the axle joins there to hub.

But could try ez out. If enough is sticking out try vice grips, weld on something to get leaverage or take it to a shop.

Bolts for driver side are like 20-30 bucks and a week shipping time.

Don't run the one bolt. Same thing happened to me. I had to pull the block as there wasn't room to get a drill in there. Your going to have to pull the block unfortunately if the bolt snapped off flush like it did on mine.

This also happened to me. I had to pull the engine to drill it out and tap it.
I tried messing around with a few different 90 degree drill adapters but you still cant see what youre doing to get on the center of the bolt.

And make sure you use at least a 7 grade hardness (M12x1.25x30) or it will snap again.

I was lucky mine just wiggled out and previous owner used some HomeDepot bolts. Haha. I mean there okie for some applications but wouldn't never ever use HD bolts for a part like that. Got part numbers from here for new ones and hit up dealership as they were cheaper and quicker. Some vendors have them but they're shipping and handling for a small things like that are reduculously over priced.
