First and foremost, anyone who says hard piping and a 1g bov does nothing needs to stop kidding themselves. I saw more gain with this then my FIPK and Injen intake. Now onto my issue, the car runs fine minus the lumpy and high idle due to installing the hard piping. I still have to readjust a few things. My issue is that when under part throttle, around 2500-3000 rpm, the idle bounces around a little bit and it sounds like the bov keeps blowing off. Under WOT it does not do this. I keep my foot out of the gas 95% of the time basically because I'm not an aggressive driver plus I have no gauges yet. ( Yes I know, shame shame. ) Any ideas what would cause the bov to maybe " flutter " under part throttle but not under WOT? BTW, the car is a 95 GST Auto. Any help is appreciated. :)

Did you make sure to (1) hook up the vacuum hose to the top of the BOV, (2) recirculate your BOV, and (3) do a boost leak test ?

Take a picture of your setup as that will help as well.

I'm noticing a similar thing happening to me. Just recently installed en ebay uicp w/ 1g Bov. Under light throttle the bov does seem to be releasing air, but under full throttle no noise during acceleration. Is it possible that you may be confusing the sound of turbo spooling instead of a leak? Straight piping will not dampen the sound of airflow as much compared to stock intake and uicp.

If its a wistle sound when letting OFF throttle from a light cruise condition, such as like going down hill and slowing down, then I think thats normal. Mine does this, and I also have hard pipes, 1g bov, and hard intake.

If somebody chimes in that it is not normal,, then I'd say we have boost leaks.

Did you do a boost leak test after installing the hard pipes?

I have the Punishment hard pipe kit with the OE smic on my Laser and a BLT needs to be done periodically.

Also, test your 1g bpv and see if it is working properly. Reference your factory manual for a how-to.

No I'm not confusing the sound. The rpms flutter without change in the throttle.

No, no release of throttle. Hard to get the bov to woosh with an Auto too LOL. But it was def. The bov. BLT is def. Needed though.

No BLT. I'll find out how to test the bov but the spring is pretty stiff, dunno if that matters or not.
