Take some pictures to clarify what you mean. Maybe the smic you got is for a 1g.

On a semi related note....when I was putting in my Supra smic, it took a lot of adjustments and readjustments to get everything to fit snugly.

You will probably need to alter how the smic is sitting in your car for the licp to fit.

My lower pipe fit just fine. I took the intake out to have more room up top. I did have to flip the pipe a couple times to make sure I had it on in the proper orientation.

While this thread is here, did anyone else have one hell of a time getting both upper pipes in together? ( upper ic pipe and S-shaped TB elbow. ) It's literally forced together.

"Forced together" as in is doesn't line up? I know the Punishment Racing stock smic upper pipes don't align perfectly, so I had to unbolt and slightly adjust the stock ic's position. And my Dejon uicp plus a 2g TB fit as perfect as I could hope for on my 1g.

In my experience ic piping almost always needs to be adjusted and readjusted to fit perfect.

Using the hump hose variant of silicone couplers will make life easier during ic pipe install. It also puts less stress on the system when it's under pressure. It allows flexibility at joints and transitions.

Depends which ones you buy, some are dead on, others, not so much. You'll also have some that are a pain because of the tight fitment (needs to be placed in a certain way or it won't work) but those are usually the ones that fit dead on. As a helpful note, Dejon, Greddy and Buschur pipes fit perfectly, tried them all on the 2g.
