Hello, so I finished my car a few days ago, but I'm having some issues.

Okay first of all. Sometimes when I shift into a new gear and give it gas there is a horrid banging/rattling noise that comes for the back of the car. Also if I get a hard shift there will be a banging noise. Guessing it is my exhaust?

2nd-My steering wheel is like crooked? When I'm going straight down the road my steering wheel looks like im slightly turning LOL. I don't think its an alignment issue because my car goes down the road perfectly straight.

3d- Cel time. My cars throwing the notorius 31. Not to worried about that. But then it throws 2 21's? I am not to sure what causes this. From what I looked up on 2gnt it looks like something with o2 sensors?

4th and lastly. My car squeals like a big from the power steering. When driving it also feels like i only have 40% power steering...it sqeals at idle at high RPMS while turning while not, just all the time :banghead:

I know this is a lot and I'm sorry for the over whelming amount of problems, but any help is appreciated!

Alright well, I fixed the steering wheel...it was just off a few teeth, thought for sure it was straight when I first put it on but apparently not...any ideas on the power steering squeal? The belt is tight and everything is checking out fine?

1- Sounds like the exhaust. Check and see if a hanger broke or maybe it needs another.
2-:thumb:
3-Run a can of seafoam through and if it throws the same code replace both o2's. Make sure there are no pre-o2 exhaust leaks.
4-If the belt is tight and without damage check the fluid level. If both those are good the PS pump itself needs replaced. If you need one I have a spare

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Will check the hanger when I get off school today. Where exactly is that at? Near the end I am guessing? And could the o2 errors be from aftermarket exhaust?
Also I am missing an exhaust gasket for the very last part of the exhuast but the it came in yesterday I will throw that on there. And yeah it has plenty of fluid and is tight....I will PM you. Thanks a lot replying!

As far as the exhaust goes I would just jack it up and shake it by hand, that way you can tell if it is hitting anything, what it is hitting, and check the hangers. What part of the exhaust is missing a gasket?

The very end part, like that connects to the part with the muffler, sorry i am not an exhaust expert by any means

If it's that far back it won't effect the o2's or anything. Unhook the vacuum line off the top of the TB, get a full can of seafoam, run it through, then clear the CEL and see if it runs the o2 codes again.
