Hi guys, just got by 1999 on the road as of last night and it really has no power...here is what Ive done so far-

MSD Coil
MSD wires
NGK Iridium plugs(gapped correctly)
header back exhaust
oil/filter change
cleaned the intake and throttle body

Car starts up and idles smooth so not real convinced the fuel filter will have much affect. I have a new filter...just havent put it in yet. Took it for a drive last night even with the pedal to the floor...RPMs go up a little but real hesitiant to downshift and get up and go. I know the throttle plate is wide open....but no real power. Other than the performance bolt ons (intake , tuners, etc), any ideas on what else to look for? I listened for a while thinking it may be a vacume leak but none found....Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks:confused:

..............and just realised today that my fuel level gauge doesnt work. Guess the tank is coming down:ohdamn:

I feel the same about mine and I've got practically same bolt ons as you, is your check engine light on?

Actually ive put in another thread...I cant get my check engine light to come on so no...there is no light on.(light works though...lights up when you turn the key on) Im leaning more towards transmission issues....engine idles great, throttle response is good, but when you put it in gear and smash the gas....power doesnt seem to make it to the ground.

maybe your clutch is slipping . where does your clutch grab is it down low or up top .

Yea......if shift into all the gears with no problem, cruises off our property great.....once on the street and you get into it......revs up, kind of have to let off the gas to shift into second but then kinda sluggish as well.
