So I just moved from Pittsburgh down here to Baltimore, Pasadena area was wondering.... Any good dsm shops? I'm pretty new to the dsm world. Also if there is anyone in the area who knows of tuning shops or mechanics let me know if your close and can help me out ill buy you a beer xp! But any help would be appreciated!

Welp now and later help I'm really trying to rebuild this thing from the bottom up. No huge power pretty much stock but get her back to showroom style. Only bad thing is she is also my daily driver. Jut trying to find shops to do basic maintain because my lack of tools and space. Could be easier to sell her but just something about this car an community I refuse to part with. If you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean, im doing a ground up build on my '95 gst

What exactly you want to do with it? I have some much 2g stuff laying around, me and my buddies. I work in Baltimore, so im relatively close (via beltway). And there is a good machine shop down the road from ya, google: Jackson Auto Machine

I'm trying to do 300 whp or close while trying to keep it reliable... Reliable as in not trying to have to check everything after each drive xp. Right now I'm trying to fix everything the idiot before me did. Which is tough seeing as how I moved down here 1 week ago looking for a job xp. Idle surge is pretty bad. Just changed tps and cleaned up engine bay to best of my ability. Fixed leaks etc. dealing with a possible oil leak... And bad manifold among many other things. Also need I think it's called the top part were my thermostat is I think it's the thermostats housing.

Welcome!!! I just moved from shrewsbury to parkville (bought my first house). If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask, plenty of us down here. . .

I did it originally myself no leak had shop in pa look at it he said no problem was my tps. More or less fixed it than drove it down here to Baltimore. About an hr from being here boom idle just goes nuts. Over heating etc. pulled over hose shot out from the temp housing and bolt shoot out to so coolant everywhere. Also finally took a good look at the exhaust system complete shit cracked not completely connected flex pipe is shit. Also found that all of a sudden bolts from my manifold disappeared?! So leak there thank god for free geico towing. Replaced hose and clamp over heating and coolant fixed. Just ah damn all this hits at once and lack of job... I've came to the conclusion that my dsm is for sure on her period xp.

Nahh, thats something that you're gonna have to do LOL. You would pay out the ass if you had a shop do that. Just do one thing at a time, step by step man. It will be more rewarding for you

valid point sir. Prob whats going to happen just trying to get it running smooth first:banghead:

oh also any shops around here that would help get my car a nice tune to get it running smoother can put and exhaust on etc basic stuff but stuff i cant do xp?

Welcome to the area man. I just moved from Howard County up to Westminster but i work down in Columbia driving a tow truck, so if you need your car tow call Al's Towing and ask for Travis (we do GEICO towing).
As for a machine shop, I was really pleased with the one up my way and would recomend them to you if you need machine work. If you need advice, parts or a hand, just ask. There's a growing number of us on here now and we try to help each other when we can. Not sure if you knew but November 2-4 is the biggest drag race of the year at Maryland International Raceway and some of us plan on racing or going.

Yea i heard about it my brother is in the military and goes up there i think with his gto ill prob be up there. Im trying to look for a mechanic school right now to start into. Hopefully learn something trying to learn all about car and eventually open my own shop. xp
