Hey everybody!

Where in San Diego should I go get my car alignment?
Tomorrow I am gonna change the struts with a friend.

Where would you recommend I go? San Diego Area only. Don't want to drive up toward L.A. ETC... ROFL

Na I just need to get it aligned after I change the struts and thanks for the info!!! :dsm:

29th and imperial! its in the ghetto but its pro work and with guarantee

You can go to Flawless Motor Sports off Clairmont Mesa Blvd... Talk to Chris or Angel. Tell'm Bluetooth sent you. They do outstanding work & stand behind it..

Your car is stock and from talking to you, it's going to remain stock. Go to Firestone, they do LIFETIME aligns for $160 and done. I did it 6yrs ago and I'd take my DSM there after every oil change to get my alignment checked/fix and it cost $0.

I always went to the one in the Fashion Valley mall parking lot because it was close, however, they're turn around time was shit so I recommend going to a different Firestone.

You do realize how much a standard four wheel alignment is, right?

BTW, he got it wrong. It's Flawless Rides, not Flawless Motorsports, here's a link ---> jdm engines | jdm engine | aftermarket car parts | jdm parts | jdm car | jdm cars

I still recommend a tire shop over a JDM fan boi garage to do a STANDARD alignment, especially if you can't afford a lifetime alignment at Firestone. The only reason you (or anyone else) should go to shops like that to do alignments is if your car is low as hell or you need custom alignment specs outside of stock.

Firestone
You do it twice and it already paid for itself and you need an alignment every time your replace suspension parts...

No, I don't know much! Please educate me!

The reason I say I can't really afford it is because I am going to rebuild my transmission, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, etc... Mitsubishi busted my balls by telling me all these things, so I am buying the parts and doing the labor my self.

My uncle and his friend will help me rebuild my transmission. They have worked on several of these transmissions before. So wasting like 200-300 on a kit?

@Corey, I will call tomorrow and get quotes. If they exceed a certain amount, then I will take your advice and just get a lifetime warranty. I shall follow your stockers guide! Also I changed my dot fluid cap. Now it tightens without loosening

Also if I bring another car in and I have the lifetime alignment, can I use it on that car or no?

Ok. It's Flawless Rides Motorsports. My mistake. I'd still just do a price check. They do excellent work & Stand behind it. They believe in doing it right the first time & they have someone that works & specializes in Awd's. You get what you pay for. I'm learning that as we speak. I would say go to Banishedmunk but what i saw when I stopped by his house tells me that he's got his hands full for awhile unless he can fit you in in the mean time between time...

Yeah Kris not really a 420A engine person! So I don't want to bother him AS MUCH! I will bother him occasionally! ;P

Also I'm FWD , not AWD ):

I might have to go with Corey then. I want good service. " you get what you pay for " LOL... Yeah JDM isn't me, car isn't flushed or slammed, like those people say

Chris may not be your right LOL... But they don't just deal with jdm engines dude. I'm there like almost every other day. They deal with pretty much everything dude. fwd, awd, side wheel drive LOL. You name it. If you know Chris, Angel or Mike I say get a price quote & see what you come up with. It doesn't hurt to check.

I went to a shop on Main Street. They found out that my rods have gone bad. So they replaced them and did an alignment on all 4 tires.

Yikes. I bet that was cheap...

:dsm:

The guy was working on my alignment. Called me over and told me the rods were messed up. He said he can align it and ignore it, but it would not give a alignment warranty/guarantee. So I told him its one, just replace the rods. 3/4 rods were in bad shape. Got all 4 tires aligned afterwards.

Yeah it was "Cheap" LOL...

Better safe then sorry

I went to the firestone off Miramar road... they did great work and were usually quick about it, but I did lifetime and used it prob 6 times in 2 years LOL

Yeah I will most likely get my lifetime with firestone next time! Thanks to Corey's information :hellyeah:

For now I am fine with the service I got! They fixed my rods and I got a 4 month alignment warranty! ;)
