Side to side is adjustable but up and down aint?

All the one's I have ever owned have been adjustable on both cables if I remember right It's been a while since I was in there though.

Maybe a replacement cable from an auto parts store or something?

Looking at the picture further, it looks like a big glob of weld is on the back part of the ring with the bushing?

Does this look like some misguided homebrew fix?

its all one cable not rigged at all could they have swapped a 2g cable?

1990 models had adjustable cables.
