Hi all. I am going to a drag race in 20 days and I was wondering what are your toughts.

Last time my best on that track is 12.68 @ 112.8 with an FP68HTA, but I plan to do some improvements.

1. Get decent slicks (race slicks not drag ones, but they should help). Last time was making 2.11 60ft with WINTER tyres :)

2. Little more boost - the boost was @ 24-25PSI, now I am planning to make 28 PSI

3. Tune the car. It was untuned. Little rich. Also the weather will be colder now

4. Try to shift faster

5. Reduce car weight with 1 pound :D

I don't know how mich the car weights, but it is more than stock since I have lot's of stuff (left from the car audio I had) inside the doors, big 0GA cables, dynamat all around trunk and doors, etc. - around 80lbs

I don't know what seat time is. I googled it and I understand that it's basically experience in drag racing. Is that correct?

I'm assuming this is with the awd swapped gst you have in your profile? If so, practice launching. A lot. A 2.anything in an awd is horrible. Most people can go 1.7-1.8s pretty consistently on street tires. Taking your 2.1 down to a 1.8 would.knock a half second off your et.

Yes, it was after the swap. I didn't track race it when it was FWD.

Thakns guys. I will focus on practicing more than anything else, promice!

I guess the weight, winter tires, stock suspension, (ACT disc maybe is slipping) all are preventing me from a good launch. I had 1.96@60ft last year on a different track, but lost it between 1st and 2nd so the ET was 14.0. This track however is asphalt. Will try to lower the 2step RPM. Sorry, no real drag strip in my country:(
