i have been doing some research on the best MLS head gaskets to use and what has gave people problems? I was wondering what is the best MLS head gasket? I am going to use ARP head studs with this gasket as well. anyone that can help me out thanks?

The biggest problem most have with MLS Head gaskets is that the head and block surfaces must be near mirror finish in order for an MLS to seal. Unless you plan to make over 450hp anytime soon, I'd just stick with composite and head studs.

yea that is one thing i have read. i have pulled my engine to do a rebuild on it. i have a aftermarket head i am going to put on it. it has that finish like you are saying. i just don't know how much was milled off? if i get a MLS will it make up for what was milled off? and i am also going to make sure the engine is flat as well.

it was at a machine shop and they had to mill it. it was warped a couple thousands i don't know how much they took off though?
