Hello all. I am going to install an oem bse kit to finish up my bottom end. I have seen the videos but i. Not clear on the bearings that are pressed in the block. Do they come out? If removed does it effect oil pressure as far as dropping through journals? Thanks.

When you knock out the old bearings, you install the new ones with the oil hole towards the side, this blocks the oil from coming out of the oiling hole (up top).

I'd prefer the method of removal and install that mentioned in the Vfaq. Those kits from the autoparts store have a tendacy ruin parts. Sharp edges and such can gouge parts. If you use one buy new so it's meant to the way it was built.
