will t28 fit on 95 gsx stock manifold

As long as it is a dsm specific t28 than it will bolt on. There are other t28's out there from other cars that won't bolt on.

is the t28 really rated at 340whp ?

The T28 flows about 36 lbs/min at its peak. Rule of thumb says add a zero to the end of that number to get the approximate horsepower capability, so about 360hp. But trust me when I say it won't happen without a huge intercooler, better fuel, or expert tuner. Maybe all three.
 
^ Wouldnt pushing it to that level, potentialy be catostrophic to the turbo, if sustained at that level (in most cases)?
 
The best were made by Forced Performance, The FP B28, but it's no longer in production since Garret no longer makes the unit it was manufactured from. So your best bet is to wait til one shows up on the classifieds, or look to another alternative.

there are plenty of other turbos available, 16g series, comprable to FP's b28 is the Evo 3 16g which out flows it by a measly 50 cfm. , 20g, fp reds, greens, etc.

What are your goals?
 
it's not about PSI, it's about the amount of air you can move. Most people wanting a t-28 variant turbocharger are looking for ...
A. Stock Appearing
B. Ease of Installation
C. Quick spool

When I ask for a Goal, i'm looking for, Auto-x , Drag, Dyno whore, or DD replacement. A realistic HP goal.

Basically to Run an FP B28, you'll need at a minimum.

190 LPH pump w/rewire
660 cc injectors
Some type of Tuning ( IE: Link, SAFC2 etc.) without this you'll never see the full potential of any mods.

I run an FP B28, And pretty much all the mods you'll need. minus the WB O2, take a second to look at my mods list to get an Idea. I will be switching to Link after TAX time, since i'm currently in the middle of another project. Individual Throttle bodies on a Mazda Miata 1.8L NB

a t28 rated at 340hp is just like the K&N filter being rated at 15+ hp,(meaning in the right circumstanses to be able to rate it that high possibly - as in putting a small paper filter on a 600hp engine and then swapping to a large conical K&N, then in that case the K&N will yield 15+ HP)

It would have to be a case likle the curt brown car making 499whp from the 16g, a super special instanse where they're making more use of it's available air than 99.9% of tuners, engine and drivetrain configs can make from said amount of air then yes, in THAT one case i could see it being 340hp, I'd say more like 265-280whp max (maybe they mean crank HP LOL) or maybe it's a different t28 than the one we get for DSM upgrades, there's a T28 that's ball bearing and comes on a nissan inline 6 factory, that one might be rated at 340hp on that engine. who knows, I've always thought of it as a useless upgrade anywhere aside from california (a.k.a. The Soviet-United-State in America) Such a minor upgrade in power it should come with a "chip" to take full advantage of it's awesome power adding abilities.. aside from looks i couldn't tell any difference that would make one worth paying for when i rode in a T28 equipped car, might as well just put a 14b on instead, would still be an OEM part for cali laws and would leave you enough money to upgrade two other parts at the same time

Or maybe they mean "scale HP" LOL
