Yet anything is possible... If you are really serious, do your homework and calculate the total expenses before you even decide to take the wrench. Its a very expensive project and will require big $$$ pockets, it ain't a cheap project. And unless you have very well deep knowledge and skills with hardcore automotive custom jobs, it won't be a diy project since it aint just a wrench bolt-in parts project. And since you said and I quote "The only way id go through with anything is if i could find cheap parts and do the work myself.", sounds like this type of project aint for you. You better of selling your 420A, and buy a AWD 4G63 and stick with bolt-on performance parts that you can handle...

Ive seen a fair share of diy 4G63 RWD conversions and to be honest they look like crap and don't seem too reliable and safe. There are already a few parts available for 4G63 RWD's conversion and they are really expensive. Your 420A RWD conversion idea would be a first, and a lot more custom parts would be needed than a 4G63 RWD conversion making it even more expensive than a 4G63 RWD conversion.

I know dreaming custom unique projects is great, but be real and truthful to yourself in your 420A RWD conversion idea...

LOL i know the engine makes no torque and there is no way that the economics of it would work out. I could buy a better rwd car for the price it would cost to built up the eclipse. I mean i'm a certified welder with enough automotive knowledge and experience that the project wouldn't scare me. Maybe one day.. who knows if i win the lottery or something :thumb: And Eclipses are very rare up here in the frozen north.. 2g wernt available here. Every one around was imported from the U.S or Mexico. who would expect a rwd 420a? and i wasnt born yesterday either i know this would take alot of work. But realistically i know i'll probably just drive the car into the ground as it is. But yeah, its nice to dream..

It is a nice dream, but if.I won the lottery, there would be alot more unique cars in my driveway than a RWD eclipse. If you catch my drift ;).
