... I have a computer right here with internet. I paid 1 penny for my current cell phone that does everything I need it to.

typical apple product, overpriced and overhyped

Agreed. My 4S has a great camera but beyond that it's inferior to many of the droids out there.

Can't wait to upgrade and go back to android.

Nope. I have zero interest in the iPhone!

My old EVO had about every feature the new iPhone does LOL. Bigger screen, same camera, tough glass, turn by turn directions Meh.

This is a solid competitor...to the Galaxy S I got in 2010. :p

Just checked to see if i was eligible, and i qualify for a $500 plan :(

If you are looking just for a phone then the iPhones are slightly less robust than the droids out there. However if you are looking for an overall tech package such as the iPad, MacBooks, and iPhone so everything is synced all the time then the iOS platform is ten times better. I love the fact that I can take the pictures with my iPhone, walk into the house and instantly browse them on my iPad, then walk back to the desktop and run my photo editing without ever having to mess with uploaded and moving files.

With my last droid X the problem I noticed was the operating system kept updating but the stopped testing if it would #### up the older droids. The iPhone gets tested religiously on that account.

Not to drag out the umpteenth iOS v Android thread, but Google does this. ;) All my photos are set to "instant upload" on my phone, then manageable centrally.

Woohoo iPhone 5 iPhone 5... cant wait super stoked like superstar style oh wait i just remembered that i have skipped out on every other iPhone thats been over rated and over priced. Dont think thats going to change just so i can have an apple on my phone. Stickin with my DROID

as Lando commented, I actually do this on my EVO V 3D via google.

Prior to my evo I had a Samsung intercept for 3 years, awesome phone I'd take over an Iphone any day, but eventually it got tiresome this summer considering it had less ram than the required amount to even run the android OS after being updated throughout the years, finally pulled the trigger on my EVO V 3D after much comparison with the Iphone - I just couldn't justify it as it just seemed inferior to the Android OS.

When I was still developing mobile phone apps I definitely preferred the android devices due to the ease of development, debugging, and lack if political bullshit to get things on the market. However, now that my job position has changed and I spend more time reading excel and PowerPoint documents via my device I switched to the iPhone which our corporate tech center requires for full integration support. If I were doing anything complicated or cutting edge with it anymore it would be a hindrance. I guess it really depends on what you are going to be using your phone for primarily....that being said in still not going iPhone 5 right away as it is an utterly pointless upgrade from the 4s.

Just a reminder to those who already have an iPhone and looking to upgrade go check out your local Cingular/ radio shack because they have a special. When I went they said trade in your old iPhone and get the new iPhone for only $50. Not a bad deal to me :). On another note aren't they suppose to stop making the galaxy's in the us since they lost the lawsuit to apple....

$200 upgrade for me on a 16g model- long over due. Sold! Says it'll ship in 14 days or so.

And I have this 3G-S that I can sell somewhere.

No. The lawsuit was for the original galaxy s from 2 years ago and some software stuff.

But apple isn't supposed to be making the iPhone 5 because they're stealing LTE patents

Here's something funny

Hmmmm.... isn't the galaxy s3 $200 w/ a contract? Weird bc that's the same price as the past 3 iPhones with a contract...if your going to call one overpriced, I'm gonna call the other.

Meh. I have had android since 1.0 on the G1 and have loved it ever since. However, when my contract is due, I'm going to try out the WM8 phones I think.

My girlfriend has a Iphone 4. It's hardware is decent, but it's software is increadibly dumb. I hate the user interface. Plus I don't agree with their business model.

Android for life. Currently rocking a unlocked gsm galaxy nexus on t mobile monthly 4g only 30 bucks a month. More powerful then the iPhone and way cheaper. I'm also prlly one of the most anti apple people I know. Apple is like Nazi Germany. U can only do things third way no choice or customization at all. You can keep your over priced fruit phones I'll stick with android. And in 10 years when android wins the war I'll say I told ya so.

I pre-ordered the iPhone 5, I am currently rocking the 3s. I'm not sure what everyone's talking about a war? My phone isn't going to magically flex its muscles and scare off other phones, or turn into a lightsaber so i can fight off the dark side LOL. I not a phone guru, I'm in my garage working on my dsm 90% of my free time anyway LOL. I can call people, play a few games when I'm bored, listen to music and text people rather easily. I'm sure it'll be an upgrade from my 3s, other then that its just a phone. It has one button and is very easy to navigate and use. It works well in conjunction with my mac and ipad so i cant complain. Never tried a droid phone, not that i didn't want to its just my 3s has lasted me over 4 years so why switch now right?

I am an Android guy. One of my co-workers is an Apple guy.

He is all stoked (and paying 1100 dollars for 2 goddamn phones).

I asked him "what can this phone do that your current one cant?"

He said "nothing".

Fail. If I am getting something new, I want more features.

Because no one has ever jailbroken an iPhone before...

My current Android does everything I need it to. And when it finally dies, I'll be getting another Android.
