After an alternator short explained in my 9/9 post, I tested CAS as per link suggested. Car would now start. After sitting overnight, would not start again. If I disconnect sensor plug, turn ignition on then off then connect sensor it will start over and over again. Couple hours-ok- over night-not ok...:banghead:

new alternator, new battery, and cas from boneyard. Today car started after sitting overnight, but had high RPM miss. Felt like an automatic shifting from second to third.

Well you obviously know there's a problem with your cas. Check the wires, also if your miss firing have you checked your plugs and wires also coil pack?

Getting another CAS soon, will go thru ignition too. If something is smoking my CAS's, what voltage should I get from hot wire at plug to CAS?

Sounds more like a short in one of the wires to the cas. If the cas was bad than it just wouldn't work at all.
