before i changed my transmission i crunk the car, let it run for app 3 min. then i proceded with the tare down. i replaced the transmission plugged everything back up and tried to crank the car. no dice. i checked the fuel pressure gets plenty. i pulled the plug wire off #1 and no fire. i changed the crank sensor, nothing, i changed the coil pack, nothing. i finally changed the cam sensor and still nothing. i even unplugged everything and started all over, still nothing. please help:hmm: i forgot to mention that my boy crossed the speed sensor and the coil pack, but i fixed that. also all fuses are good

Were is the asd relay located?

i pulled the ecu, cracked it open and its full of a coffee colored gel and i can barely see anything. i also found the asd and now i need to figure out how to check it. any suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion,i tried it multiple times but it still wont start. After i tried that i checked the main plug that hooks up to the coil-pack and it does have power running threw it but it just isn't getting any spark to the coil-pack its self.

My esi had the same problem only i had no fuel either pump never came on and it had no spark it turned out to be the ecu i have a spare asd relay

what year transmission did you put in and when you crank it, it just turns over and over but wont actually fire? and your coil can have power but if the ohms arnt right then the coil wont get correct spark. does your check engine light come on at all while attempting to start? this is a long shot but if your spark is weak try to pull the plugs off of the coil and let them rest right next to the contact and long arch it and have a friend turn it over. if you have a weak spark it wont start but i had simaliar problems and i got my car to start that way. get a voltage meter and test the ohms on your coil. you can test your asd with the voltage meter/test light also.

I'm not exactly sure what year the transmission is and yea.I took the coil to auto zone to get them to test it and test a new one just to see how it would react to both the bad and the new and they both came out with the same results, but i bought the new one anyway got home put it on and same result, and the engine light does not come on when i try to crank it.And okay thanks,i am willing to try just about anything right now because i wanna get back behind the wheel again.

Ive checked the ASD relays they're good but the ECU is probably the case, the only way to test it tho is to send it to the shop.I'm trying to avowed that if possible.

thats why i asked what year the tranny was. best thing to do is find a friend with an eclipse and swap ecu's or go buy one from the junk yard. are your 100% sure you double checked every sensor?

i have changed the cam sensor, crank sensor, and ohmed the coil pack. i have check out the ecu but really cant tell anything about it. i am at a loss at what to do. heck i have even had two mechanics look at the car and no dice
the coil pack is getting 12 volts to the center wire but none to the right or left wires which send fire to (left) 1& 3, (right) 2 & 4.
also i have heard that if you get another ecu it has to be flashed. is this true?
