I am in the proess of putting my turbo back in after a rebuild and some other mods to my 98 gsx. I cannot remember which line goes where. explain to me or give me as many pictures as possible. Thanks

Sorry if postd in the wrong section

7 bolt motor or 6 bolt? If 6 bolt, what water pipe are you using. The 7 bolt coolant feed is from the block. 6 bolt is feom the thermo housing. Return on the 6 bolt is to the water pipe and i believe the 7 bolt is the ofh. Return line goes to the side facing te radiator. Feed line is facing the block. Been awhile sice i had a 7 bolt so i might be wrong in the feed and return parts.

The 2G feeds from the block; the 1G, both 6- and 7-bolt, feeds from the thermostat housing.

Both generations return to the water pipe.

If your bolting it up while the turbo is on..I use a longer bolt of the same thread pitch on one side..Kinda holds the drain on the bottom of turbo..Then putting the regular sized one in the other side, and then the same size bolt for the other hole..

Work smarter not harder right.

7 bolt. and I have the manual pics, they confuse me, LOL. where to the hoses connect to? which one goes to the water pipe, and where does the other one go?

This still doesn't really help. 1G 7-bolt or 2G 7-bolt? More importantly, which generation of thermostat housing and water pipe, 1G or 2G?

For a 2G block/thermostat housing/water pipe, which I assume is what you're talking about, the coolant feed is #19 -- which bolts to the block, 18, and 17 -- which bolts to the turbo. The return is #16 and 15, which go back to the water pipe.

Curious. I did my 16g swap on my 7 bolt and I don't know the correct screw size to bolt the oil return to the bottom of the turbo? #25

Anyone actual photos ? The last is maybe deleted and actually i do same job and need some help with it . I rebuild 4G63 N/A euro to turbo and im not sure, if the blocks is exactly the same, so i need to know, how exactly is did the turbo block and from where where it needs to go and do it by myself with right knowledges. Thanks to anyone

According to ASA, the EU 2G N/T has a plug in the block where the US 2G turbo block has a joint for the coolant feed. The port should exist.

So this joint is the turbo coolant feed and is referenced in the second picture and what it actually looks like as it is tough to see in the second picture.

The return port is a part of the water pipe.

Here’s another thread with pics for reference: 2G Hard Coolant Lines
