I was bored waiting for my parts so I started doing a few things I always wanted to do. Tell me what you think.

Was it the vht high temp or was it something different? Should I say what product did you use. LOL

Rustoleum high temp paint works well...But after it's heat cycled it looses the gloss. But looks a tad better than the do it yourself ceramic hi temp coating, the vht stuff.

The high temp rustoleum stuff you can get at wallmart. But the gloss I had to get at menards.

VC looks good, wish mine was in as good shape. A previous owner broke a spark cover hole and jb welded it.

Your stuff is Looking good. I feel like I should also share my experience on my parts.
everything you see black has been powder coated to a wrinkle flat black, except the exhaust manifold-due to the heat it will see I decided to go with VHT2000* flat black paint (if it deteriorates quick it can be fixed with another coat of paint to mask the problem).

For those wondering about the valve cover color, it is powder coated to a flat tan. My build will be a military themed DSM. with all flat colors, black & tan.

i used dupli-color engine paint on all my stuff then i hit it with their clear coat engine paint so it didnt lose the glossy look and chip so easy. after about a week the dust gets into the paint and doesnt look good so clear coating helps that alot.

Way to steal his glory LOL. I do love some freshly painted/ coated parts though.

I love the way your valve cover looks. You did a good job. Wanna make some money?

Thanks,

So I went to clear the valve cover and it started cracking right away, what happened. Did it not like what was on the surface? needless to say I stripped it and im starting over.
