...criminals dont follow laws and will get a weapon regardless like they do already and NO amount of gun control or different policies would have prevented this specific situation of a squeaky clean american citizen acquiring weapons legally...

Exactly. I'm a law abiding citizen, served my country...I own...a multitude of firearms and a decent pile of ammunition for all of them.

I'm not out to commit crimes or harm innocent people, but I'm often demonized by others as being in the same league as these mentally unstable people...it's just insulting to be lumped in the same group as mass murderers because I own and train with the same equipment...

Well stated!

Having a comparable background, it should be recognized that, as with any other "tool" which gets used as a lethal weapon, an undisciplined individual's action should not condemn the proper use of guns.

Nonetheless, the outcome of this incident is tragic.

You remove the right for people to carry firearms, you remove the ability for law abiding citizens to effectively protect themselves from the criminals who went outside of the law to obtain their own. Outlawing Meth hasn't stopped people from screwing themselves with it. Outlawing guns won't stop incidents like this.

The guy should be released from Solitary and thrown in the yard. Just my opinion.

+1. Outlaw guns, and only outlaws will have guns.
They should seek the death penalty. The DA is pretty tough.
And from what I've read. In colorado. It is illegal to bring a concealx handgun in anyways.

I am very profficient with a handgun 29-30 everytime. And in a dark room with cs gas? You would have done nothing more than added fuel to the fire. I would rather be a human shield than accidently double tap a innocent victim.

We all have rambo stories......

Id want to go out trying to stay in. I wouldn't just lie there and take it that's for sure. My dad was able to get his concealed carry so hopefully next year I can get mine. And I WILL be carrying my future Beretta :D

Cops should have put him down. Now, tax dollars get to be used to pay his rent, meals, and possibly education for the forseeable future.

Bring back town square executions.

agree 100% ^^^

That would be a blessing for him. He should be put in our countries' only supermax down south in Florence.

Living a solitary life for the next 50 years is torture.

I agree. I'd rather torture him for the rest of his pathetic life then give him the easy way out with the death penalty

Just let him go free. Annnnd... let it be known that any crimes committed against him will be overlooked. Sounds fair.

Maybe it is only this forum, but it amazes me, as well as delights me, how many people support appropriate gun use, and that so many people suggest unsympathetic, pragmatic methods to deal with this despicable criminal.

You'll find that, contrary to what the TV peddles you, most Americans DO have common sense.

Well 1st amendment is their for a reason.

And I mean we know 100% the gut did it. He's kind of a POS so It would benefit society for him to be gone. I'm sure some BS will come out about him not being responsible because his frontal lobe had damage or something.

This goes to show that the police and government can't save you. That's why I'm getting a carry permit and proper training.
