What are you using for engine management? ECMLink? (DSMLink)

What is the color of the smoke? White, Blue, Black?

Are you loosing any fluids as far as coolant or oil as of lately?

(Going to ask) Have you done a BLT recently?

My first thought would be that you are running rich for some reason under load...

Just trying to look over some of the basics first! I know you've been around for a while and these are probably things you have already checked but lets get them out here to consider whats up.

I agree with AlaskanDsm my problem is similar (not too much smoke though) and so far I have narrowed it down to something with fuel trims and getting kicked out of closed loop. I actually just started a thread about this recently as well where i posted a log (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/new...into-open-loop-when-letting-off-throttle.html) .... maybe we can knock out 2 birds with 1 stone

Its not coolant..Ill just start throwing out stuff your pretty sure i have checked..BLT,really yes,pipes and ic all were tested before i started the car,no leaks there.

Gotta be either gas or oil..No leaks for coolant,gas,or oil..Ok hold on,oil leaking from bottom right manifold bolt..I should probably put one in there and reckec huh......Ok also pulled v,cams look great,cam caps look great,springs are great,rollers look great..

Only thing i see strange is the head studs..This is also the first time i have looked at those.Some dont look all the way down.

Oil is brand new,and still clear.


If im just feakin out....MAN.....Please let me know.

Im thinking it's gas. You can keep your car running by letting throttle all the way off before pushing the clutch until you get it figured out this has been working for me. You have dsmlink? What do your fuel trims look like?

what color is the smoke? white, blue, or black? how much does it smoke? like clouds or just a puff when your gettin on it?

gas will leave a black cloud if its rich.. and oil smoke is bluish in color.
