im new to dsm i have a stock 1999 gst

I was looking at either a 20g turbo or evo3 16g turbo

My main question is doi need to build up the motor and tranny to be able to run the 20g at full power.

Any help would be great. I have already baught a 3inch exhaust with downpipe that is coming in soon.

Bud92gsx: My bad on reposting the same one man. I just signed up, LOL. So I'ma newbie to this site. Nah, no tuning mods. So, put my fuel pump back to stock? Then run it? Where can I get any of those chip, dsmlink,or a flashable ecu to compensate? I ain't gonna lie, I don't know too much about this. I just bought everything I was told to buy. Then got all the shit put on, then it's doing this. The garage that put everything on etc. said, I don't know how to fix that.

But he does have some nice things to put on tho, when he gets a tuning device.

Read above post.Getting the stock stuff put back in, if you still have it, will help you from damaging stuff.

Yeah, well I guess I was hoping for the best JPMXRIDER. But I agree, I should've done more research, before I went and bought/did all this shit. But I had people tell me that's all I needed to do/buy, but still my fault/and theirs. But thanks, and thanks Bud92gsx. This sucks, I'll just leave it sit, til I can get the damn thing tuned etc.

If you have big goals for this car, I would get dsmlink. I have it and love it. Its worth every penny. But if your hoping to have this as a daily driver ad soon, I would turn it back to stock. Its still a fun car either way.

The work block is their semi joke.

Unless that's what they call it.but I think a socket job is around 45-50 bux, if the ecu does not need any repairs..They will replace the caps for free. Then you get ecmlink V3, and the cable.Have them send it all eith your ecu.Plug it in, grab laptop, and start tuning.

If you go to the link I posted.Up at the top are demo's.Just click this ECMTuning, Inc.

While your waiting it's a good look. You can also download the software, and mess around with reading peoples logs and such.

If you need help, you get a user name on the ecmlink forums, and your already a member here.Someone will be online, and willing to help.

Oh.. Well, I don't know what all to buy. I clicked this, ECMTuning, Inc. I really don't know what all I need/or to do to buy. To fix this problem. This is all new to me, and the dude who said I just needed the injectors, fuel pump etc. I don't even wanna ask for his help. Especially if he never even mentioned about a tune etc.

Before you do anything with a boost leak test, just go ahead and return all of your fuel parts back to stock. I say this because this is a definite culprit and while a boost leak test will be a tell-tale sign of poor performance, you likely don't have a way to do a boost leak test right off the bat. BLTs should be a part of routine maintenance anyway, because you never know when they're going to pop up. But by all means purchase your tuning software also, I was just referring to the other option in case you wanted to drive your car without it shutting down and running like crap until you got ECMlink or whatever route you decide to take.

I don't have anything stock. The reason I started to do all of this, is because my stock fuel pump/turbo went bad. So, I said if I'm going to put more money into it. I might as well go performance. So, now It's going to sit, til I can get it all tuned. Sucks, but it'll have to do, I guess... But here's picture's of my ECU, I believe I pulled the right one out, ha. I heard all 95 talon's were gold boxes.http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii609/Frankii_Kiing/0527155950_13.jpg http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii609/Frankii_Kiing/0527160033_12.jpg http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii609/Frankii_Kiing/0527160045_11.jpg http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii609/Frankii_Kiing/0527160051_10.jpg

^ That did not paste right. But it is the proper 94-95 2g ecu

Take the 4 phillips screws out, and get a pic or two of the inside please.

That's definitely an EPROM ECU. Notice the chip with the white sticker (EB23E) in the upper right hand corner of the pics. All you need is socket installed to use the DSMLink chip.

If I remember correctly, my ECU cost about $60 including shipping for the socket. You'll need the cable and the chip like mentioned before. It just depends on which version you want to go with.
