Thanks for looking at this I really need help. I'm really tired right now. Just need a little help or advice.

Have a 97 Gst stock Ecu.

Everything is kinda stock motor wise that i know of. My intake is a injen(CAI) and I have a 3 inch apex all the way back.
Aftermarket wheels and tires. I have racing subspention. I can't tell you off the bat right now. (tired can't think)
I think it's the stock turbo. But I'm running 15 psi right now. Greedy type rs bov rec.
Full SS ic piping.
Apex tt.
Had a few boost problems I worked out and some other stuff.

Note: I don't really work I just do side jobs to get money so I don't have a lot. Paying for house bills and the car bills and stuff.

Well my questions are,
1. What kind of cheap mods can I do to get a little more out of her?

2.how much should I run 10psi or 15psi? Not much but I know at a psi it starts to change your timing.

3. Knowing that I have a stock 97ecu can I do any tune or flash? I really want/need to.

4. With the turbo timer I have everything hooked up right works good but I thought I was going to get live readings from afr and o2 v. I don't get that???

5. With the subspention the old owner has it off the ground abou 2" looks good an drive ok. But I hit a pebble and it feels like I get rear ended. Any suggestions?
Front is about 2" back is about 2'

1. Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners

2.14 psi is stock, do you have a boost controller or gauge? Those should be your two first mods

3. I don't think 97 ecu's are flashable but here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/407715-how-get-basic-tune-ecuflash.html

4. Some turbo timers (auto timers) don't have those readings.

5. If you have coilovers your suspension is too stiff, are you lowered on coils or springs?

1. Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners Correct

2.14 psi is stock, do you have a boost controller or gauge? Those should be your two first mods 15 should be fine are you going by the factory gauge or aftermarket?

3. I don't think 97 ecu's are flashable but here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/407715-how-get-basic-tune-ecuflash.html There are no tuning solutions with the 97 ecu other than a crappy safc. Option A- get a 95 EPROM ecu and dsmlink, B-get a black box 98-99 ecu and follow the link here, or C- standalone.

4. Some turbo timers (auto timers) don't have those readings. my apexi has o2 readings but it never worked right because it is just a narrow band like the dancing led gauges. Get a wideband to get proper afr readings

5. If you have coilovers your suspension is too stiff, are you lowered on coils or springs? or you may have those lowering springs [or cut springs] on factory struts and they are blown.

I have included my opinions in this quote. Mine is in bold.

1. Thanks for the link. Helps.

2. I thought 12 was stock, hmm... Yeah I have a boost gauge and mbc

3. Well like I said I'm not that money high now. I have like 150 for my car right now.. Hmm 95 EPROM? How much are that?

4. Well I know it's not that close. But I still would like to have it working because I want to use it a little bit. Like say narrowband over nothing, when I get a chance I'll move to a wb

5. I'm 80% sure it's coil overs can't really tell with out getting it off the ground tires off. I'm sure it's adjustable tho.

If all you have is 150 link and EPROM is out of the question, but there was just a evo 8 ecu with cables for flashing and logging posted in the classifieds a couple hours ago that's a good deal if you could come up with a little more cash. It's not as user friendly as link but it will get you going and you could read up on it.

I don't know who said narrowband over nothing, but they lied NB is nothing especially with our stock o2 sensor. But if you insist on having it hook the o2 wire off the gauge into the wire for the o2 going into the ecu and make sure to use the ground going into the ecu from the o2 for the "best" reading.

You got a link on that, I'm on iPhone an have limited stuff on forumrunner.

I have it hooked up but it just wants me to do a manual set on the tt. But I have a afr gauge.. Narrowband I beleve and that works. Just not the afr on the tt

evo8 ecu, intake, clutch, etc! - DSM Classifieds

There's the link to it. To me it sounds like everything you need to get started, but I haven't looked into flashing that much so you might want to get some info from the seller. You might want to pm him quickly because I'm not sure how long these usually hang around for.

1. more than happy to help

2. yeahh it's 14psi stock, but up to 16 is safe.

3. Eprom's range from 50-200 depending on who you buy them from. you could find one on the classifieds for like 100 and a cheap chip solution is the keydiver chip. I have a friend that's selling one it has fuel cut elimination, launch control, and fuel injector compensation. theyre cheaper than link but not adjustable, link (ecmlink) is just better in the long run. You could also get a black box ecu get that flashed or an evo8 ecu and flash that.

4.Yeahh i know what you mean, but a narrowband is just not going to give you accurate enough readings which is why a wideband is suggested. Again look in the classifieds and that vendor specials the LC-1 widebands go on sale sometimes. check ebay too.

5. get your car on a rack and check, if it's coilovers you can just get it easily adjusted all you'll need to buy is the tool for that set of coilovers

i couldnt find a 95 ecu. ecmtuning can and will convert the 97 ecu to take an eeprom. costs about 150 with the purchase of link v3 full iirc. Its kind of a package deal, atleast it was in january when i did mine.
