Hey guys i have a 91 eclipse GSX with a stock block that idles perfect.....so far the parts i have are
Greddy Type s BOV
like 3" downpipe to exhaust
and mayb a 16g turbo not sure tho havent looked at it yet

was wondering what size injectors and what kind of turbo i need
i got about $1000 to spend on parts then i have to save up for DSMlink and tuning

heres what im for sure getting:

Walbro 255lph Fuel pump
Vr speed factory 1g FMIC

any other programming and tuning gauges stuff that i need add in as well please idk what GM maf's and MafT's are for or do

Hold off on the injectors till you get your tuning software, bigger injectors wont do squat without a lil tweeking with a link or other software, If its mostly stock i would reccommend a FULL maint. Timing belt and most other belts, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, trans fluid flush/change and coolant flush. Im positive i am missing on more things needed but its hard to type on my phone. LOL

changed spark plugs, wires, coil pack, CAS, soon to do oil change,

but i was gonna get all the parts i need to make 300+ HP mayb 400 after i get bored and set the parts aside and put them in all at once and tow it to get tuned its not a DD right now

^^Agreed! Also, if its going to take you some time before you get link, I would suggest you get a pocketlogger and log your car to make sure everything is okay. Make sure you do a boost leak test as well. Make sure you have the right spark pliugs in the car (NGKBR7ES)

As for mods, I would buy a good Boost controller (I usually run the Hallman pro), Boost guage, Wideband (AEM UEGO are great) and I also use an Oil pressure guage. Rewire the fuel pump after you install the 255 to ensure you're getting proper voltage and aftermarket FPR wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Once all of that is done buy injectors, injector seals (only $20), and get Link. ECMLink Lite is all you need to get and you can always upgrade to Full by paying the difference.

I wouldn't recommend more than 20-22lbs of boost on stock block just in case. Others may have something different to say.

Happy modding!

Prepare your head for more boost and get some arp studs and gasket (cometic).

Get your wideband as stated above.

Either upgrade to 2g maf or use the 3" gm maf with maft.

I would get dsmlink first, then your mods for hp.

You need a better clutch. Act and Fidanza are some very common ones with a light weight flywheel.

Your gonna need a fuel pressure regulator with higher boost then stock

FP or evo3 Exhaust manifold will help you alot as well.

Just my 2 cents....

2g maf
660 cc injectors
43 psi fuel pressure ( ajustable fuel pressure regulator)
walbro 255
evo 3 16g turbo
intercooler 3 inch core and 2.5 inch pipeing
3 inch exhaust
wideband
boost gauge
oil cooler
264 intake 264 exhaust cams
2g ported exhaust manifold
Manual boost controler
Suspension Mods and maintenance

eprom ecu and costom chip
22 Psi Boost you will be at 300+ hp

My .02 for just 300hp?

1. ALL maintenance (t-belt, etc etc etc)
2. ECMLink/wideband
3. Fuel pump/injectors

You'd be surprised how much power you can get out of a well-maintained "stock" car with some tuning and being able to monitor it with ECMLink. Besides that, you'll be learning while power levels are low, which is much safer for both you and your motor.

Your list:
FMIC $300 want
255lph $100 want
BOV (not needed...) have
3"DP have
16g (how do you not know?) "have"

You will need:
650cc+ injectors $150-200
AFPR (for that 255) $100-$200
ECMlink $400-$700
non MAF $100+ (you can search, I would choose SPEED DENSITY)
Clutch $250+

Before you start thinking 300hp... (which most here cannot get out of a 16g anyway, without different fuel) ...And if you only have a budgst of $1000...

I would get, In this order (hard to get all for $1000...):

Boost gauge/Wideband gauge
ECMlink
Fuel Pump + rewire + AFPR
Injectors.

Then tune whatever turbo you have until:
Heatsoak ==> FMIC
Clutch slip ==> new clutch

Great info there.. 300 whp is fairly easy to achieve as long as you have a healthy motor.. I made 297 whp with an exhaust, bc 272 cams, wally 255 and a 20g that spiked to 14 psi and settles 10/11 psi..

I agree that you should get Link, wideband and a good boost gauge first!! Well, after all maintenance is done. Then fuel (walbro 255 and injectors..) If you plan to go bigger I would just get 1000s, with link you will be fine with that size injector.. Then have fun!! thats my two cents anyways..

alright guys so far i've ordered MTX-L wideband i have a boost gauge gonna order a MBC, but my buddy was telling me English racing in washington Installs DSMlink for like $200 isn't that what i need for tuning??

Just pick up link. Stock headgaskets and bolts will be fine for 300whp. You can control boost through dsmlink if you spend $45 on the controller they sell. That will be cheaper than most MBCs and it will be controlled by gear, inside the car.

Go ahead and do a timing belt, fix your oil leaks, and make sure the car does not have vacuum leaks. After that begin searching for a 16g and some 750cc+ injectors. Dsmlink and maint. should be the first things you do.

Get yourself a good wideband and I suggest starting with your drivetrain before you start making power. Drivetrain is the biggest thing that makes guys frustrated with these cars and a lot end up selling them because of it. Just my 2 cents...Good luck with it

It won't cost you $200 to install it, just make sure you have a eprom ecu otherwise you will need to buy one. They will charge for the installation of the chip and depending what version of link you get v3 lite is $425 or full is $545. you can take your car there and have them look at it is what I would do, they will install a walbro 255lph $100 including the fuel pump. Don't waste your money on small injectors if your getting link just get 1000cc and call it good there all about the same price and it will save you from upgrading later.

alright sweet thanks guys i'm good and doing the maintence stuff except for the timing :/ so i narrowed it down to first replacing all the little stuff first timing belt, water pump, etc. then i'll spend rest money i have on supporting mods :p

Timing Belt Kit Water Pump Mitsubishi 4G63 4G63T 89-94 | eBay

this any good?

I am just throwing in my 2 cents here, I am picky when it comes to dsm's I like oem parts and I have never bought anything off ebay but don't get me wrong there is some good stuff. If your not to to tight on money MitsubishiParts.net - Your #1 Source for OEM Parts and Accessories

so if i have a stock ECU do i pay the extra $40 (for socket EPROM ecu) at dsmlink and then send my ecu into them?? or can i just send it in without selecting that? LOL and should i get v3 lite or just go full out and get full?

If you got the money for v3 full get it over lite, also you can send your eprom ecu if you have one send it in otherwise you will have to do the non eprom conversion and that cost's alot yes you will have to pay for socketing. Also they will give you a option if you send your ecu in to throw on a flash tune depending if you have bigger injectors or different maf.

my buddy said he could sauder it in for $20

It's not worth it to have a buddy do it. ECMLink does it (socketing) for $40 and runs diagnostics on the ECU to make sure it works correctly as well as replacing the caps in most cases. If your ECU must be EPROM converted, your buddy can't help you at all as there is nowhere to solder the socket/chip to begin with. Go through ECM Tuning for everything ECU related and you'll never have any issues. As for DSMLink, look in the classifieds. $425 new is a bit steep and Lite can be found for half that in the classifieds. For 300-400hp, you won't need anything more than the Lite version anways. And you can always upgrade in the future for the price difference between the two.

Also, stay away from any Ebay parts when it comes to engine parts. If it were a catch can or intercooler piping, then they are usually OK. But for something like timing components, go with OEM or Gates. Oreilly Auto Parts (maybe some others) carries Gates complete timing kits for around $100 and they are very nice for the price.
