Aye aye Captain my Captain. Just making it clear that we here like to have evidence of our claims and take pride in all accounts of our work.

I'm ready for my punishment. -ahem-
I always got your back kei ;)

I just wanted to say one thing that I thought would be hilarious in this thread.
Should'of had a V8 :ohdamn:

ROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFL:rocks::rocks::rocks::hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah::tease::tease::tease::tease::tease:

....i had to sorry

Hahah, i think of that every time i see a thread like this.

As far as this topic goes, the good thing for people with low mechanical knowledge is that with a v8, even at 400hp, its running at such a low efficiency that it will take a beating for years and years.

Mud trucks are the thing to have out where i live. The one local guy here has a cammed up 350 with 300k+ miles on it. He runs it in the pit till its overheating and spewing coolant everywhere and wont fire. Waits till it cools off, fires it up, and hits the pit again. Rinse and repeat until too intoxicated to stand up. ROFL

Id much rather have a ls1 fbody then a dsm. 380whp with full bolt ons and stock reliability. ohv motor means more reliable and lower maintenance costs. All good things for a weekend warrior/street car.

I guess if as long as you keep the power under 400whp on a dsm it can be the same thing. But just the inherent complication of being awd and turbo can be a headache in itself.

Better a turd gen 'Maro than a Genesis. At least I won't have to read this BS on the new forums I'm visiting.

DSMs aren't reliable, the owner base has just gone to shit since they got so cheap. Couple that with cheap parts from Chine and caviar dreams, and you get blown up cars and BS stories.

Err, it's in that quoted post...

I bought a Hyundai. Even in stock trim, it's a blast. It reminds me of the first time I hopped in a stock DSM back in the 90s.

Then go buy an ls. I don't get it, you hate on these cars, yet you own one..? Hypocrisy thy name is..

...and 2k under dealer's cost. :) I'm thrilled with it.

What ever you do don't build the gencoupe block. there external oil pumps can not handle these motors worth anything. Ask me how I know.

There good for 400hp that's it.

Drew
I'm not voiding the warranty; period. :)

I'm needing something with more room. I want to get a Chevy truck. Also I'm sick of having vehicles in the 90's.

Then also I'm moving out to a city that is pretty much desert.

It's hard letting my car go. I hesitate to sell it. But I also work at a dealer so I'm thinking about making payments on a 07 Silverado classic.

Also offers on the table to buy my car if you want to.

But I will be back in the game later on. I will buy a GSX though.

Sold mine yesterday!

HOORAY FOR HAVING A DRIVE WAY!!!!

I'm out.

I just ran out of time and money to keep throwing at the car. Hopefully the new owner enjoys it as much as i did.

Lifetime street race kill percentage = 93%. (Hey, i'm a ghost now :p)

She represented the breed well.
