Especially if they aren't living together, have kids and sharing the expenses. What he does with his money should be his business as long as his bills are paid.

I've been in a relationship like this, leave before you have kids. Its only going to get A LOT worse, sit her down and tell her if she doesn't quit her shit and realize you can spend YOUR money on what YOU want to spend it on, she can take the door. She has no reason to be upset, you pay for everything, you're spending you own money and she's not giving you a dime.

If you want to take advice from my own experience, leave before she starts making shit up, it could scale up to the police being involved and a false report being filed just to show you that she's "in charge".

I moved on, have a wonderful girlfriend that supports my car habit, a 2 year old little girl and we're expecting another baby. I went through the same shit just over 4 years ago dude, there's A LOT better out there.

I retract my statement, I overlooked the part where you stated you pay for everything and she has a job. Heck no dude set her straight or if she wants to be equal then she will be by paying half of everything. You dont pay half of anything, have a job and no kids than there no excuse for her to complain about jack, so yeah handle it and tell her to pull out some cash or STFU.

Try to explain that your car is what keeps you happy and 'good boy' when she is not around. Try to explain all the finer things you could be out doing at 19.. Get her to the point where she is proud that car is what you have. But you must always make her feel more important than it or you'll never make it out alive

If it were me, I'd"remind"her how much money I just dumped carting her butt around and fixing her car. I must have got a saint of a GF, I've dumped $2k into my car for my rebuild and still have machining to do and she just wants to be helping me put it together. And a date once in a while if I can afford it
